UPSTAIRS POLICY
Absolutely no one is allowed in the main floor area of the building and ESPECIALLY no one is allowed in the lab of the QLF Research Center. This is a very strict rule. Anyone who is unable to follow these guidelines will be dismissed from the studio.
CLASS POLICIES
Please have your child arrive five minutes prior to class start time dressed in the
proper attire, shoes, and hairstyle (hair pulled back out of face). Dancers should be on
time to allow for proper warm-ups and conditioning done at the beginning of class.
Warm-up is critical to proper dance execution and the safety of dancers.
Students are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner with
respect for others. If any student acts in a manner that could jeopardize the safety of
him/herself or others, that student will be dismissed immediately.
Studio V Dance reserves the right to combine classes, change times, provide
substitute instructors, and cancel or combine any class with 6 or less students.
*Please have younger dancers use the restroom before class!*
*Please send a water bottle with your dancer to save on paper cups.
AT DANCE CLASS
Includes Dancers, parents/guardians and siblings of dancers – for safety, the following are not permitted:
Gum Chewing/eating candy
Running/rough play
Climbing on chairs
Disrespectful behavior towards the instructor or anyone else

STUDENT CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE POLICY & ANTI-BULLYING AND HARASSMENT POLICY
Please read through the policies listed in your Parent Portal under “Info” and then “Documents and Files.” These policies are very important and are taken seriously to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all dancers and families. We kindly ask that you review them carefully.
DRESS CODE
Wearing dance appropriate attire allows for instructors to observe and critique body
alignment and positioning. Please do not wear dance shoes outdoors (dirt/rocks are brought onto the dance floor).
** Due to Marley dance floors, dancers must wear appropriate dance shoes. Dirty shoes, rocks in sneakers, etc. can damage the floors.
~ Ballet/Pointe Classes: Comfortable and tight fitting clothing. Leotard/tights optional. Ballet skirts optional. Hair tied back. Leather ballet shoes with ties tucked into shoes.
~ Jazz Classes: Leotard/dance shorts, biketard, leggings, or snug-fitting top/dance shorts. Hair tied back. Jazz shoes.
~ Hip Hop Classes: Comfortable clothes for movement. No jeans. Hair tied back CLEAN sneakers to only be worn indoors. Sneakers with smooth soles work best. No bare Feet.
- Lyrical/Contemporary Classes. Comfortable and snug-fitting clothing. Leotard/dance shorts, biketard, leggings, or snug-fitting top/dance shorts. Hair tied back. Lyrical shoes or Ballet/Jazz in the meantime.
- Tap Classes. Comfortable clothing for moving. No Jeans. Hair tied back. No baggy pants/bottoms. Ankles and feet must be visible for instructors. Tap Shoes.
** All shoes should be purchased through Studio V Dance for quality assurance and also matching their peers at recital time. Any CLEAN sneakers can be worn for hip hop classes until performance shoes are selected.
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL
Please be prompt in picking your child up from class. If you know in advance that your child’s ride will be late, please notify the instructor. For optimal safety, students are not allowed to wait outside to be picked up. All students will need to enter/exit the studio through the stairwell. Parents of younger children will need to assist their child down the stairs to the dance studio. When dancers are dismissed, they will be brought upstairs and will be monitored by staff until the student's ride arrives. We will communicate if any changes are made.
PARKING/DRIVE THRU
Parents of younger children will need to park their vehicles in the parking lot and walk to the building to pick up their child. Dancers under the age of 10 will not be allowed to enter the parking lot without an adult.
Parents of older children will be able to drive thru and pick up their child.
*Do not park and leave your vehicle unattended in the drive thru.
*Do not pass another vehicle near the doors as it is VERY unsafe.
*Please park your vehicle in the parking lot to the side of the building.
* For one-way traffic, vehicles will need to enter/exit the same driveway. Each driveway is labeled with a sign for easy viewing.

Please help us keep all of our dancers safe by following these guidelines!
WAITING AREA
Parents/guardians are able to wait upstairs in the entryway while class is being held.
SAFETY
All dancer’s, staff, parent’s, and visitor’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. There are two exits labeled, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, “grip” in our paint for the steps, hand railings, and first-aid kits located in each studio. During the Winter season, the driveway will always be plowed and salted.
ATTENDANCE & ABSENCE POLICY
- There will be no refunds for missed classes. If you know you are going to miss a class,
or have an unforeseen conflict, please contact us and we will make accommodations
the best we can. Students may make up any class missed through another appropriate class if possible or a private lesson if necessary/needed.
- When a student sustains an injury that does not permit them to participate over an extended period of time, a credit or refund will be issued. In some cases, a doctor’s note is required.
- If a very young student is not ready to participate in a class after several visits, a refund of tuition will be given.
- If a class is canceled due to insufficient registration, a full refund will be given.
- Announcements about studio closings will be communicated through email, Facebook, and Instagram.
TUITION FEE
$65.00 per class/per dancer
$10.00 discount for second class. Each dancer receives $10 off their second class. This discount is applied per dancer (not per family) and will be manually adjusted, as our system does not automatically apply it.
WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICIES
The Studio V Dance Summer Classes are held from July 20-30, 2026. Please register with the intent to have your child enrolled for the full dance camp. To withdraw from a class please notify Miss Mary.
PARENT PORTAL
Each family will have their own login for the Parent Portal. This is where you will be able to see your balance, pay your tuition fees, pay your costume fees, pay for merchandise, and more. You are still able to pay via check or cash if preferred. Checks/cash can be dropped off during dance class hours or mailed to:

Fees will be posted in the Parent Portal as well as email notifications. Tuition checks should be made out to Studio V Dance. Be sure to include the child’s name on the check. Missing class does not affect the tuition amount.
SHOES
Any CLEAN sneakers can be worn for hip hop classes. Ballet and Jazz shoes can be purchased through Studio V Dance. You can pay for shoes in the Parent Portal or with cash/check at dance class. Dancers can try on their ballet and jazz shoes on the first day of class.
TIGHTS
Tights are optional in the summertime. You are able to purchase tights through Studio V Dance in your Parent Portal under “Store”.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO…
At Studio V Dance, our primary goal is to create a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all dancers, families, and staff. To maintain the integrity and safety of our programs, we reserve the right to:
- Deny or discontinue enrollment of any student whose behavior or family behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to other students, families, or staff.
- Make changes to the schedule, instructors, or class placement as needed to ensure the best learning environment and experience for all dancers.
- Refuse entry to class if a dancer is not properly dressed according to the studio dress code or is not prepared to participate safely.
- Remove a dancer from class or performance opportunities if expectations for attendance, behavior, or commitment are not being met.
- Cancel or reschedule classes, performances, or events due to weather, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, with notice provided as soon as possible.
- Document and address concerns privately with families or dancers, and take appropriate actions if policies are not respected.
- Update studio policies as needed throughout the season to reflect studio growth, community needs, or changes in safety guidelines.
- These rights are exercised thoughtfully and only when necessary to support a healthy, respectful studio environment for everyone involved.
PRIVACY
Studio V Dance Release From Negligence Form
Studio V Dance agrees to not release any information provided by you to any outside organization without your consent.
In exchange for permission for me and/or for my child to participate in the Studio V Dance program and classes, I hereby grant the following release from liability on my own behalf and on behalf of my child. I, on my own behalf, and also as parent and/or guardian on behalf of the minor child identified below, release, discharge and hold harmless the Studio V Dance instructor, directors, landlords and sponsors (hereafter the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for injury to my child’s person, my person or other persons, and to my child’s property, my property or other persons’ property, arising out of or in connection with, or caused in any manner by my participation or my child’s participation in the Studio V Dance program or Classes. I acknowledge I hereby have been advised to consult, and have consulted, with my physician and/or with my child’s physician with respect to any past or present injury, illness, health problem or any other condition or medication that I and/or my child now have, previously have had and/or no way have that may affect my and/or my child’s participation and ability to participate in and to endure the Studio V Dance program and classes.
In the event that I and/or my child become ill or injured during or as a result of participation in the Studio V Dance program or classes, I hereby authorize the Released Parties to arrange for such emergency medical attention as they, in their sole judgment, may deem to be required to preserve my life and/or health and/or the life and/or health of my child, I hereby release, discharge and hold harmless the Release Parties, as well as any person or entity that provides such emergency medical attention, from any and all liability in connection with any injury to my or my child’s person or property arising in connection with or as a result of such emergency medical treatment.
I authorize Studio V Dance to use my child’s image in photography and/or video for website, brochure, videos, or promotions. I understand that students will not be compensated in any way for the use of these images and the students’ names will not be used without additional consent.
I have read completely, understand fully and agree to the policies stated in the 2026 Studio V Dance Summer Handbook, including the tuition agreement. I understand that this registration is for the full length of summer camps, July 20-30.
