West Main Studios Registration Agreement 2026/2027
The following information pertains to activities, student registration for the 2026/2027 Dance
Season. Registering your dancer means that you agree to all the information provided below.
Please read the agreement in total before agreeing.
You must be over 18 years of age to register for an account and as a parent of a dancer at West
Main Studios, agree and acknowledge the following:
Registration Fee
Upon enrolling your dancer at West Main Studios, a registration of $65 will be charged to
your account, regardless of what point in the season you choose to join. Any additional siblings
will be charged an additional $25 per student. The dance year will begin in August and run
through the end of May or the first week or two of June, depending on the end-of-the-year recital
date. This fee is charged upon registration and is due at the time of registration.
Tuition (Monthly/By Class)
West Main Studios DOES NOT pro-rate tuition except for August (for non-company or
Nutcracker dancers) and June. Company and Nutcracker dancers will have rehearsals the first
two weeks in August and will therefore paying full tuition for that month. All other students will
be starting on August 17th
. Tuition is divided equally by month and is not dependent upon
attendance or the point in time your dancer is registered. Extra rehearsals may be scheduled
outside of normal class times as performance times approach. Trial classes have a $25 charge.
Tuition is determined by the total number of enrolled dance hours per month in the whole
year and divided by the number of months the season runs. This means that a child dancing 1
hour a week will be charged $65 per month. (Please see the pricing table on the following page
for pricing on additional hours.) The 2026/2027 season will run August through June.
*The tuition cost does NOT include the venue fees, in this registration agreement. *
costume fees, or other additional fees noted
Sibling Discount
Siblings of the first enrolled student will be charged a discounted rate equal to the first
child’s second dance class. For example, if Suzie takes 1 class at $65 per month, the second child
will be charged $50 per month for their class. This makes the monthly tuition for 2 dancers, each
taking 1 class, $115.
*Sibling discounts do not apply to Baby Take a Bow or Mommy and Me classes. These classes
are billed separately at $60 per month, other fees are not included as stated previously.

who were unable to attend. This service is provided through Dance Studio Videos. Videos are
normally made available within 2 weeks of the performance. They have an app and information
will be sent via email.
Venue fees for the recital will be charged on March 1st, 2027. The fee is $95 for one child

month if there is any remaining balance on the account. You are required to sign up for auto-pay
for tuition with a current debit or credit card. No gift cards may be used to set up auto-pay. If you
decline the auto-pay option, your registration will not be completed and your dancer will not be

Communication
You MUST check your email for important updates for your dancer. This is very
important and is our major form of communication. These updates contain vital and pertinent
information that you and your dancer will need for events. If you are not receiving emails from
WMS, please let the office staff know immediately so we may correct any problems. By reading
all pertinent emails, you won't miss important dates, events, etc. WMS also sends important
reminders, dates, etc. over text. If you do not want to receive text, please check the appropriate
box so you will not receive text information. It is your responsibility to read communications via
email and/or text. If you miss important dates or event information via email, you can always
check our website for the most recent, up to date information. Your Parent Portal also contains a
wealth of information individualized for your dancer.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available upon request, please inquire with the studio office. Costs
will vary by teacher and individual, based on the lesson focus. Payment is to be made directly
with teachers.
Studio Closings
West Main Studios follows the Madison City School Calendar. All holidays and breaks
will coincide with Madison City Schools. All weather-related closures will follow Madison City
Schools as well. If your class is cancelled due to an unforeseen reason (besides weather), we do
offer make-ups of comparable classes. Please note that if you chose to do this, the comparable
class may be working on specific performance dances. Please email us for comparable classes.
Sickness
If your child is not feeling well, please let us know by email or in the parent portal so we
know they will be missing. Please do not send a sick child to class. The health of all of our
dancers is our first priority.

spring of each year for the following fall season. Auditions are held for ages 5+ with an
invitation. However, if your dancer is currently enrolled in a ballet class, they may audition as
well. If you are interested in auditioning, please talk to your dance teacher and inquire with the
studio office. It is suggested to review all information before considering joining, as it is a
serious commitment to be a part of this team.
In 2026, we implemented our first tiny dancer (ages 4 and 5) competitive dance program.
Our Company Handbook is revised annually for all participating families and is an outline of
requirements, events, classes, etc. There are very important guidelines for participating in the
WMS Company 2026/2027 season.

Nutcracker 2026
Saturday, December 12th (Optional Participation)
By way of audition only at West Main Studios - your dancer MUST be enrolled in ballet
to be eligible for auditions and must continue the ballet class through the entire dance season. If
the ballet class is dropped, the dancer will not be eligible to participate in another Nutcracker at
WMS. This only applies if your child is participating in "Nutcracker 2026". Details will be
announced via our Parent portal. Also, expect required in-studio rehearsals as well as a contract
for participation (detailed information required for you as a parent and your dancer) to help you
plan and prepare. Your dancer will be issued a contract specific to their performance, rehearsals,
in-studio dress rehearsal, picture dates, and mandatory dress rehearsals. This event (mandatory
dress rehearsal and performances) will take place at James Clemens High School. In-Studio
Dress Rehearsal will be held at our studio, as well as photo days and all other required
rehearsals. There are two shows (your dancer will be in both shows) - 1:30pm Matinee and

The 2027 Recital costume payments are due November 1st, 2026. This is done by way of
auto-pay (in addition to your dancer’s normal monthly tuition). If your dancer’s costume is not
paid for, they will not be given a costume and they will not be able to participate in the recital.

Costume Sizing and Returns

measurements are put in the "Robo-Sizer" of our portal. Almost 99% of the time these
measurements reflect the correct size to order. If time permits, you may return for another size.
Please let us know immediately if your dancer's costume doesn't fit or if something is wrong with
your costume. All returns are $30 each to process for a restocking and shipping fee.
ALL COSTUME FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Tights for Performances
The price of tights is not included in your costume fees. If required for the class, ballet
pink tights/tan tights/fishnets will be charged to each dancer’s account to be worn for the Recital
pictures as well as during Recital Performances. Prices vary for tights: $13.50 - $18.00. Please
do not purchase tights elsewhere as we need all colors to be uniform for stage performances.
Shoes for Performances
Designated shoes must be purchased/worn. Most dancers will already own these shoes
except in special cases, like Hip hop classes, for which a specific shoe will sometimes be
required to be purchased. Our store has all types of shoes: ballet, tap, jazz, etc. We also carry
many dance accessories i.e., bags, undergarments, leotards, tights, etc. All are sold in our Parent
Portal.
Props for Performances
Occasionally, props for a performance may be required at a minimal cost and will be charged to
your dancer’s account.
Tickets for Performances
Tickets will go on sale prior to the performances and you will receive an email to notify
you of the date. Plan to order early through the DSP Parent Portal for the best seats. If you would
like your dancer/s to sit with you during part of the performance, you will need to purchase a
ticket for your dancer/s as well. All seats are reserved seating regardless of age. Ticket Prices are
$15 for the orchestra seating (floor seating) and $13 for the grand tier (upstairs seating). This can
change depending on current venue costs, etc. Depending on our numbers, we may be limiting
certain numbers for ticket purchase.
Pictures for Recital Programs
Participation is mandatory, purchasing pictures will be optional. Group and individual
pictures will be taken during regularly scheduled class times during the week of April 26th-29th
(subject to change, with ample notice.) Your dancer will need to come to class with hair, make-
up and the costume on for pictures (detailed instructions will be given before picture week).
There are NO make-up dates for pictures.
Optional Items to Purchase
Program books, program book ads, t-shirts, pictures, rose bouquets, concessions, etc.,
will be available for purchase prior to and at the time of the Nutcracker and Recital
Performances. All of these, except for concessions, are available in your Parent Portal for pre-
order.
Attendance
An excessive number of absences from weekly classes could mean the dancer will not be
able to perform in the Nutcracker or Recital performances, due to the dancer not knowing the
choreography. Please make every effort to have exceptional attendance so your dancer will be
able to learn and improve. Special circumstances are decided on a case-by-case basis by the
Teacher/Director.
Dismissal
Any dancer may be dismissed from West Main Studios at any time due to non-payment,
unsatisfactory conduct or attitude by the dancer and/or parent/s at the sole discretion of the
Owner/Director/Teacher. No refunds will be given.
Withdrawal
Non-attendance does NOT mean you have dropped your classes and/or withdrawn from
Studio Dance. If you wish to withdraw, you must email us 30 days prior to your withdrawal date.
This means: once your email request is received, your account will be charged for ONE month’s
tuition of current class enrollment as a drop fee. For any costumes associated with your current
classes, there is NO REFUND. Your account will continue to be charged through the 30 days
(above) and you will owe that amount as part of your contractual agreement. For example: if you
notify us of your withdrawal in December, you will pay for January. Upon payment via auto
draft - your account will be deactivated and the student will be removed from registered classes.
ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Class Changes (Drop or Add)
There is a 6-week period from the time of registration/the first day of our season to drop
or add a class. After this time (September 28th
, 2026), you are responsible for ALL costume and
related charges to your account. For dropping/adding a class (which is only permitted in January)
there is a $30 fee for doing either. Any related costume charges are NON-REFUNDABLE. If
your dancer needs a costume for chosen new class or classes - these charges are due at the time
the class is added, along with the drop/add charge of $30. For a dropped class there is NO
REFUND for class costume(s) or any other fees.
Commitment and Legal Fees
In the event that your balance is referred to an attorney for collection, you agree to pay
reasonable attorney’s fees. You agree to all statements in this registration agreement by your
child or children's participation in class.
