Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Acro incorporates gymnast-like tumbling and flexibility skills with the beauty and execution of dance. Acro students will also work on partner skills and the strength needed for those skills. Safety and proper form are of utmost importance in our acro program.

Lyrical/Contemporary 2 (Thursday)
Contemporary blends several types of dance into its own unique style. It includes elements of ballet, jazz, modern, and even hip hop. These classes are for dancers who like creative challenges, connecting dance to other mediums, and physical challenges that require persistence and practice.

Hip Hop 3 (Thursday)
Hip hop is a high-energy class that will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.
Hip Hop classes are 45 minute classes once per week. Placement will be determined based on previous experience and demonstrated ability. ALL classes above Level 1 REQUIRE permission for registration.
Instructors reserve the right to change placement within the first two(2) weeks of enrollment.

Dancers will learn ballet and jazz basics throughout the year and so an end of year dance in one of the styles. This is a good class for dancers who have been successful in mini combo and would like to have a longer class, but aren't separate ballet and jazz classes.

Creative Movement (Saturday)
This class covers basic warm-up, stretches, ballet steps, movement across the floor, and even some basic tumbling. This is a great introductory class for new dancers or a continuation if dancers are still working on learning class structure and following directions.
For our hesitant youngest dancers, a parent may accompany their dancer to help them build confidence. Our goal will be to work toward complete independence in the class.
Creative Movement classes are 30 minutes once per week.

Acro incorporates gymnast-like tumbling and flexibility skills with the beauty and execution of dance. Acro students will also work on partner skills and the strength needed for those skills. Safety and proper form are of utmost importance in our acro program.
Acro classes are 30 or 45 minute classes once per week. Placement will be determined based on previous experience and demonstrated ability. ALL classes above Level 1 REQUIRE permission for registration.
