Parent/Guardian Agreement – 2025–2026 Season
This agreement is entered into by and between Educatedancer Studio (hereinafter referred to as the "Studio") and the undersigned parent or legal guardian (hereinafter referred to as the "Parent/Guardian").

1. Duration
-The 2025–2026 Dance Agreement shall have a duration of 10 months, beginning September 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026.
- Parents/Guardians may withdraw their dancer at any time during the contract period. We simply request that notice of withdrawal be provided in writing (email or written letter) at least 30 days in advance to allow the Studio to adjust class placements and scheduling.
- There are no fees or penalties for withdrawal.

2. Registration
- Returning members are not required to re-enroll. Previous class placement and space are guaranteed.
- A non-refundable registration fee is required for all students:
$50 Registration fee due with first month's tuition (September).

3. Class Placements
- Class placement at Educatedancer Studio is determined primarily by a dancer’s skill level, while also taking into consideration their age and developmental appropriateness. This ensures that students are both challenged and comfortable within their learning environment.
- Our staff is trained in differentiated instruction, meaning that within each class, teachers are prepared to adjust movement, technique, and expectations to meet students at their individual levels. The Director and instructional staff reserve the right to move students between classes when it is in the best interest of the dancer’s growth, safety, and readiness.

4. Attendance Requirements
-Dance is a team activity. Consistent attendance is critical for progress and performance readiness.
-Excessive absences may result in removal from performances without refund.
-Excused absences include: family emergency, illness, school-sanctioned events, pre-approved travel, or special circumstances approved by Studio leadership.
-Parents must log absences in the portal via our mobile app. Please select Parent Portal> More> Attendance to log your absences for class.

5. Studio Protocol
- Parents and dancers must adhere to all studio protocols and chain of command.
- Any concerns should be directed to the appropriate point of contact within the Studio.

6. Performance Day Attire & Responsibilities
- All dancers are required to arrive in the assigned performance attire, hairstyle, and makeup exactly as instructed by the Studio.
- Hair: Hairstyles must follow the Studio’s guidelines and must be in natural hair colors only. Bright, artificial colors (pink, blue, purple, etc.) are not permitted under any circumstances.
- Makeup: Lipstick is optional for recreational dancers. However, company dancers competing with Tisha Jaye’s Dance Company are required to wear full performance makeup, including lipstick.
- Compliance: These standards are set to ensure uniformity, professionalism, and consistency on stage.
- Failure to comply with performance attire, hair, or makeup requirements will result in immediate removal from that performance. No exceptions.

7. Calendar & Closings
- Educatedancer Studio follows Guilford County Schools closure schedule for inclement weather.
- Families will be notified of closures via email, text, and Parent Group Chat.
- Tuition is not prorated or refunded for weather or holiday closures.
- Make-up classes will only be scheduled if the Studio cancels class for internal reasons.

8. Respectful Environment
- All dancers and parents are expected to maintain respectful, courteous behavior toward teachers, staff, and students.
- Disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in dismissal from class and/or a parent conference.
- Repeated offenses may lead to permanent removal from the Studio without refund.
- The studio reserves the right to remove any family from our program that we deem is not a good fit.

9. Sick Policy
- If a dancer becomes ill or injured during class, parents will be contacted immediately.
- Dancers with a fever or contagious symptoms (including Covid-19 symptoms) are not permitted to attend class.
- The studio reserves the right to remove any family from our program that we deem is not a good fit.

10. Termination
- The Studio reserves the right to terminate this agreement for due cause, including but not limited to misconduct by the dancer or parent/guardian.
- Termination will be communicated via written notice (email), and participation in all classes and performances will cease immediately.

11. Entire Agreement
- This contract represents the complete and final agreement between the parties. No verbal agreements or outside representations are binding unless stated in writing within this document.
