I understand and agree that in participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury or death. I voluntarily agree, therefore, to assume all risks and responsibility for any such injury or accident, which might occur to me or my child during any of The EducateDancer Studio classes, rehearsals, performances, or activities. I also exempt, release, and indemnify The EducateDancer Studio, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, and/or students from any and all liability claims, demands, or causes of action whatsoever from any damage, loss, injury, or death to me, my children, or property which may arise out of or in connection with participation in any classes or activities conducted by The EducateDancer Studio. I further hereby voluntarily agree to waive my rights and that of my heirs and assigns to hold The EducateDancer Studio, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, and/or students liable for such damage, loss, injury, or death. I understand that I should be aware of my physical limitations and agree not to exceed them. If I am signing this waiver for my children, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights.

Permission is granted to The EducateDancer Studio to use photographs of students for studio promotion purposes ONLY.

Anti-Bullying & Harassment Policy

EducateDancer Studio is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all dancers, families, and staff. Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Definition of Bullying:
- Bullying includes physical, verbal, written, or electronic behavior that harms, intimidates, or targets another person, or creates a hostile environment in the studio.

Reporting:
- Parents/Guardians are required to file a written Bullying Report if an incident occurs.
- Studio staff who witness or are made aware of bullying must also file a report.
- The Admin Team will investigate all reports, involving parents, teachers, assistants, and witnesses as needed.

The Culture Coordinator, Mrs. Veronica Hairston, Directors, and Assistant Director will review all cases and determine appropriate action.

Consequences:
- One confirmed bullying incident may result in immediate removal from class, suspension, or termination of enrollment.
- This policy applies to students and parents/guardians. Harassment or bullying directed at another student, family, or staff member will result in the same consequences.
- No refunds will be issued for dismissal due to bullying or harassment.

Our Commitment:
All dancers have the right to learn and grow in a positive, supportive environment. Every report will be taken seriously and followed up appropriately.

By participating in any fundraiser campaign mentioned you acknowledge that (1) All funds generated through fundraiser efforts will be distributed directly to EducateDancer and applied to your student's account to cover studio-related costs included, but not limited to, monthly tuition, costume fees, fundraiser fees, late fees, and other associated EducateDancer expenses. In the event of outstanding balances, the studio owner may elect to apply your fundraiser proceeds to your past due balance before distributing it to current expenses; 2) All funds are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash and; (3) All funds are immediately forfeited in the event a student withdraws or is dismissed from EducateDancer.

Logo & Branding Policy

The EducateDancer Studio name, logo, and brand materials are protected intellectual property. Parents, students, and families are not permitted to reproduce, alter, or use the EducateDancer Studio logo, name, or likeness on any personal or commercial items (including but not limited to t-shirts, jackets, bags, water bottles, social media graphics, or other merchandise) without prior written consent from the Studio Director.

This restriction applies regardless of whether the item is for personal, group, or commercial use. All branded apparel and merchandise must be purchased directly through EducateDancer Studio or its approved vendors.

Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the program and/or legal action to protect the Studio’s brand identity.

I hereby grant The EducateDancer Studio permission to photograph and/or record my child during classes, performances, and studio events. I authorize the Studio to edit, use, and publish these materials in print or digital form for promotional purposes, including but not limited to: websites, social media, flyers, brochures, advertisements, press, and fundraising materials.

I understand that:

All photos and videos become the property of The EducateDancer Studio and will not be returned.

No payment or additional consideration will be provided for use of these materials.

This authorization remains in effect unless revoked in writing.

By signing below, I release and hold harmless The EducateDancer Studio from any claims or liability related to the use of these photos or videos.

Important: If you do not grant permission for your child to be photographed or included in studio media, do not sign this form and instead sign our MEDIA OPT OUT FORM and select the NO PHOTOS option under your child profile

The EducateDancer Studio values professionalism, respect, and a positive reputation both inside and outside the studio. To protect our dancers, families, and staff, the following rules apply:

- The EducateDancer Studio name, logo, and brand may not be used on personal social media accounts, groups, or merchandise.

- Parents and students may post photos/videos of their own dancer.
- Full routines, choreography, or rehearsal footage may not be posted without Studio approval.
- Do not share images or videos of other students without their parent/guardian’s consent.

-Negative, harmful, or disrespectful posts about dancers, families, staff, or the Studio are not allowed.
- Cyberbullying, harassment, or gossip online will be treated as in-person misconduct and may result in suspension or dismissal.

Privacy & Safety

- Do not share personal information about other dancers, families, or staff.
- Private rehearsals and behind-the-scenes content must remain confidential.

Boundaries with Staff

- We understand that Parents and students may send friend requests, follow requests, or direct messages to teachers or staff on personal accounts.
- Please NOTE that teachers are not permitted to communicate about studio business or information with students or parents via personal social media. All communication must go through official Studio channels (email, phone, or parent portal).

Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the Studio.

Parent/Guardian Agreement – 2025–2026 Season

This agreement is entered into by and between Educatedancer Studio (hereinafter referred to as the "Studio") and the undersigned parent or legal guardian (hereinafter referred to as the "Parent/Guardian").

1. Duration

-The 2025–2026 Dance Agreement shall have a duration of 10 months, beginning September 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026.
- Parents/Guardians may withdraw their dancer at any time during the contract period. We simply request that notice of withdrawal be provided in writing (email or written letter) at least 30 days in advance to allow the Studio to adjust class placements and scheduling.
- There are no fees or penalties for withdrawal.

2. Registration

- Returning members are not required to re-enroll. Previous class placement and space are guaranteed.
- A non-refundable registration fee is required for all students:
$50 Registration fee due with first month's tuition (September).

3. Class Placements

- Class placement at Educatedancer Studio is determined primarily by a dancer’s skill level, while also taking into consideration their age and developmental appropriateness. This ensures that students are both challenged and comfortable within their learning environment.

- Our staff is trained in differentiated instruction, meaning that within each class, teachers are prepared to adjust movement, technique, and expectations to meet students at their individual levels. The Director and instructional staff reserve the right to move students between classes when it is in the best interest of the dancer’s growth, safety, and readiness.

4. Attendance Requirements

-Dance is a team activity. Consistent attendance is critical for progress and performance readiness.
-Excessive absences may result in removal from performances without refund.
-Excused absences include: family emergency, illness, school-sanctioned events, pre-approved travel, or special circumstances approved by Studio leadership.
-Parents must log absences in the portal via our mobile app. Please select Parent Portal> More> Attendance to log your absences for class.

5. Studio Protocol

- Parents and dancers must adhere to all studio protocols and chain of command.
- Any concerns should be directed to the appropriate point of contact within the Studio.

6. Performance Day Attire & Responsibilities
- All dancers are required to arrive in the assigned performance attire, hairstyle, and makeup exactly as instructed by the Studio.
- Hair: Hairstyles must follow the Studio’s guidelines and must be in natural hair colors only. Bright, artificial colors (pink, blue, purple, etc.) are not permitted under any circumstances.
- Makeup: Lipstick is optional for recreational dancers. However, company dancers competing with Tisha Jaye’s Dance Company are required to wear full performance makeup, including lipstick.
- Compliance: These standards are set to ensure uniformity, professionalism, and consistency on stage.
- Failure to comply with performance attire, hair, or makeup requirements will result in immediate removal from that performance. No exceptions.

7. Calendar & Closings

- Educatedancer Studio follows Guilford County Schools closure schedule for inclement weather.
- Families will be notified of closures via email, text, and Parent Group Chat.
- Tuition is not prorated or refunded for weather or holiday closures.
- Make-up classes will only be scheduled if the Studio cancels class for internal reasons.

8. Respectful Environment

- All dancers and parents are expected to maintain respectful, courteous behavior toward teachers, staff, and students.
- Disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in dismissal from class and/or a parent conference.
- Repeated offenses may lead to permanent removal from the Studio without refund.
- The studio reserves the right to remove any family from our program that we deem is not a good fit.

9. Sick Policy

- If a dancer becomes ill or injured during class, parents will be contacted immediately.
- Dancers with a fever or contagious symptoms (including Covid-19 symptoms) are not permitted to attend class.
- The studio reserves the right to remove any family from our program that we deem is not a good fit.

10. Termination

- The Studio reserves the right to terminate this agreement for due cause, including but not limited to misconduct by the dancer or parent/guardian.
- Termination will be communicated via written notice (email), and participation in all classes and performances will cease immediately.

11. Entire Agreement

- This contract represents the complete and final agreement between the parties. No verbal agreements or outside representations are binding unless stated in writing within this document.

Payment Method: Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and must be paid by auto-draft from the parent’s bank account.

Class Attendance: If tuition is not paid, the dancer will not be allowed to attend class until payment is received.

Late Fees: A 5-day grace period is allowed. After that, on the 6th a $25 late fee will be added.

Refund Policy: All payments to The EducateDancer Studio are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Special Events/Workshops: Payments for special classes, events, or workshops may be applied as studio credit if the dancer cannot attend. This does not apply if enrollment is terminated for policy violations.

Fundraising: If you leave the Studio with unused credits from the annual Popcorn Fundraiser or any fundraiser we offer, those funds are forfeited to the Studio.
