I understand and agree that in participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury or death. I voluntarily agree, therefore, to assume all risks and responsibility for any such injury or accident, which might occur to me or my child during any of The EducateDancer Studio classes, rehearsals, performances, or activities. I also exempt, release, and indemnify The EducateDancer Studio, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, and/or students from any and all liability claims, demands, or causes of action whatsoever from any damage, loss, injury, or death to me, my children, or property which may arise out of or in connection with participation in any classes or activities conducted by The EducateDancer Studio. I further hereby voluntarily agree to waive my rights and that of my heirs and assigns to hold The EducateDancer Studio, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, and/or students liable for such damage, loss, injury, or death. I understand that I should be aware of my physical limitations and agree not to exceed them. If I am signing this waiver for my children, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights.

Permission is granted to The EducateDancer Studio to use photographs of students for studio promotion purposes ONLY.

This agreement is entered into by and between Educatedancer Studio (hereinafter referred to as "Studio") and the undersigned parent or legal guardian (hereinafter referred to as "Parent/Guardian").

- DURATION
The 2024-2025 Dance Contract shall have a duration of 11-months starting from
August 1, 2024 until June 30, 2025. The withdrawal period of the contract is from
the completion of the Spring recital June 14, 2025- June 30, 2025 . If you are to withdraw after
that deadline there is a $25.00 withdrawal fee. If you are to withdraw from the studio prior to the contract end date there is a fee of one month tuition to terminate your contract.

- REGISTRATION
Returning members do not have to re-enroll. Your previous class placement and space is secured and guaranteed with our program. The EducateDancer Studio requires ALL dancers to provide a non-refundable $50 registration fee for Spring Semester registration (January-March) OR a $25 registration fee for Fall Semester registration (August-October).

- DANCE CLASS PLACEMENTS
Placement at The EducateDancer studio is based on age level. Our classes are split
between the following age levels. Tiny, Mini, Petite, Junior, Pre-Teen and Senior. It is at the
discretion of the director and teacher to move students up a level based on ability.

- ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Dance STUDIOS ARE a team. Just as sports teams require all players to attend
practices, dance companies require their dancers to attend all classes and
rehearsals. Absences will hold back not only the individual dancer but also the
company. Students who miss an excessive number of rehearsals during
preparation for a performance will be removed if the student is not prepared.
Refunds will not be provided for removal due to excessive absences.
Appropriate absences by the students will be for: death in the family, illnesses,
school sanctioned events, pre-approved out of town outings, or special
circumstances (this reason may vary). If the absence is for a special circumstance,
please let The EducateDancer Studio know in a timely fashion to prevent
disruptions during rehearsals. If your child is sick, out of town, or has a special
circumstance please let our secretary know so that we can document the date

- STUDIO PROTOCOL
The Parent and the Dancer of The EducateDancer Studio will abide by all
protocols and chain of commands that The EducateDancer Studio. The Parent
should be made aware of the point of contact of The EducateDancer Studio in the
event of any issue that may arise.

- PERFORMANCE DAY ATTIRE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Parent and the Dancer of The EducateDancer Studio shall be in the
appropriate attire and hair/makeup guidelines on the day of the performance. If
the Dancer is not following the appropriate Performance Day Attire, the
EduacteDancer Studio has the right to remove the Dancer and Parent from performing that
day.

- CALENDAR & CLOSINGS
Educatedancer Studio follows the Guilford County Schools (GCS) closure schedule for inclement weather. In the event of a closure, parents/guardians will be notified via email, text message, and the Parent Group Chat. Please note that because our studio operates in the evenings, closure decisions may be adjusted based on the most up-to-date weather conditions during our operational hours. Tuition is NOT prorated or refunded if the studio must close due to inclement weather. Make-up classes will be scheduled if The EducateDancer Studio must cancel class due to an issue involving the dance studio. Tuition is INCLUSIVE of all holidays. We do not prorate tuition due to holiday closures.

- Respectful Children & Teen Environment:
It is the requirement of all students that we always practice respect.
Interactions with teachers and other students should exhibit considerate
behavior. Class time is extremely valuable. Students are not permitted to
socialize in a disruptive manner during the class. Courtesy towards teachers
and fellow students in mandatory. Failure to comply with the respectful
environment of the studio will result in the removal from class and parent
conference with Studio personnel and the removal from the studio and
dismissal from all classes.

Sick Policy:
During class if a student complains of being ill, or sustains an injury and
cannot participate, our teacher will contact the parent immediately.Students with a temperature or with any Covid-19 symptoms will NOT be allowed to attend class.

Termination:
The EducateDancer Studio reserves the right to terminate the 2024-2025
Dance Contract for due cause or special circumstances due to the actions of
the dancer or the studio parent. The EducateDancer Studio will provide the
parent with a Termination Letter via email stating the reason for the
termination. At that time, the dancer nor the parent will be allowed to
attend any further rehearsals or performances with the EducateDancer
Studio. The termination will be in accordance with the state and federal
laws.

Entire Agreement:
This agreement constitutes the final agreement of the parties. It is the complete
and exclusive expression of the parties’ agreement with respect to the subject
matter of this agreement. Neither party was induced to enter into this
agreement by, and neither party is relying on, any statement, representation,
warranty, or agreement of the other party except those set forth expressly in
this agreement.

ANTI BULLYING & HARASSMENT POLICY

The EducateDancer Studio commits to anti bullying and harassment. We provide a safe and supportive community that fosters a lifelong love for dance and creative expression. In order to
guarantee that all of our dancers are able to best pursue their passion, we implemented a comprehensive anti-bullying policy applicable to our students, dance families, staff, and employees. We define bullying as any behavior; physical, verbal, written (either electronically or in person), that detrimentally targets another person. This counts as bullying when it physically or emotionally harms a person and/or targets a person for any actual or perceived characteristic or creates a hostile environment in the dance studio. We encourage all parents to file a Bullying Report. The Admin team will contact the alleged bullying party, the alleged victim, teachers,
assistants, and parents who may have possibly witnessed the event. Should, in addition, he/she find evidence that corroborates the report; this will serve as the basis for scheduling a course of action meeting. EducateDancer Director, LaTisha Perry will also review any report of bullying. EducateDancer staff members including educators, associates, and administrative personnel must intervene if they are made aware of the possibility that bullying is occurring including but not limited to witnessing bullying. All EducateDancer personnel has to intervene by completing the online report directly. Parents must make the studio aware of the bullying event, the parent is also required to take on the primary responsibility of filing a report.

EducateDancer will not tolerate bullying in any form; physical, emotional, social or otherwise. As such, we have implemented an Anti-Bullying Policy. One documented bullying event will have repercussions, which may include immediate termination of enrollment.

Most noteworthy, as per the policy above, EducateDancer recognizes that bullying does not just occur between students. Parents or guardians, who harass another student, parent, or EducateDancer staff member, will have repercussions, which may include suspension or
termination of student. Please report all incidents of bullying you witness to the studio personnel immediately. There will be no refunds for such actions. All dancers have a right to learn and develop their art in a positive, respectful environment. We realize that every situation reported through this form may require a unique follow-up.

By participating in any fundraiser campaign mentioned you acknowledge that (1) All funds generated through fundraiser efforts will be distributed directly to EducateDancer and applied to your student's account to cover studio-related costs included, but not limited to, monthly tuition, costume fees, fundraiser fees, late fees, and other associated EducateDancer expenses. In the event of outstanding balances, the studio owner may elect to apply your fundraiser proceeds to your past due balance before distributing it to current expenses; 2) All funds are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash and; (3) All funds are immediately forfeited in the event a student withdraws or is dismissed from EducateDancer.

Logo and Design:
The Dancer and Parent of The EducateDancer Studio acknowledges
the name, likeness, design, and logo of The EducateDancer Studio solely and
exclusively belongs to The EducateDancer Studio. At this time, no other parent or
dancer has the right to use any materials used by the EducateDancer Studio under
this Agreement. If any parent or dance uses the name, likeness, design, or logo for
commercial use, The EducateDancer Studio will take legal action. Further, it may
result in disciplinary action, including, but not limited to the termination of the
Dance Contract Agreement.

I hereby grant and authorize The EducateDancer Studio the right to take, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, distribute and make use of any and all pictures or video taken of my child to be used in and/or for legally promotional materials including, but not limited to, newsletters, flyers, posters, brochures, advertisements, fundraising letters, annual reports, press kits and submissions to journalists, websites, social networking sites and other print and digital communications, without payment or any other consideration. This authorization extends to all languages, media, formats and markets now known or hereafter devised. This authorization shall continue indefinitely, unless I otherwise revoke said authorization in writing.

I understand and agree that these materials shall become the property of The EducateDancer Studio and will not be returned.
I hereby hold harmless, and release The EducateDancer Studio from all liability, petitions, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representative, executors, administrators, or any other persons may make while acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate.

If the person agreeing is under the age of consent, then this release must be signed by a parent or guardian, as follows:
I hereby certify that I am the parent or guardian associated with this account, and do hereby give my consent without reservation to the foregoing on behalf of this individual.

Social Media Policy:
Remain mindful that your behavior on social media remains in keeping with EducateDancer code of conduct. Any comments or posts perceived to be obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or hateful towards The EducateDancer Studio staff, students or families may subject the owner to removal from studio or legal action. We do not encourage parents/students and teachers from becoming ‘friends’ or ‘followers’ on social media, unless there is an existing relationship. We consider all studio members to be family and as such feel the obligation to respect and monitor personal boundaries.

Should you wish to engage on social media while identifying as a studio dancer parent volunteer or employee, you may only do so with integrity, respect, and adhere to privacy and confidentiality policy. Any content revealing or referring to sensitive studio information is not allowed to be shared online. Intellectual property laws (for example, costume design and choreography), must be observed by all studio patrons when posting online. This includes but not limited to manuals, forms, handbooks, and syllabus, etc. While affiliated with our studio, (for example, images of your child in EducateDancer uniform)

We will not tolerate any posts that are racially, sexually, physically or religiously offensive. All matters pertaining directly to the studio - whether it be fees, scheduling, placements or performance opportunities - may not be communicated via social media. We have an open-door policy and encourage all communication and feedback to be communicated to the Directors. You may not post photographs / videos that feature EducateDancers other than your own online without the proven consent of their parent/guardian. Identifying information of any featured minors - including names, ages or location - must be removed when posting on social media.

Tuition & Fees:
The EducateDancer Studio provides that tuition for each studio dancer must be
paid by the 1st of every month through an auto draft of the parent’s bank
account.

IF the parent fails to provide the funds for the tuition each month
through auto-draft, the dancer WILL NOT be allowed to attend the following class.
The EducateDancer Studio provides a 5-day grace period following the first day of
a non-payment before a late fee of $25.00 is added to the tuition costs.

On the 10th day of a non-payment of tuition, The EducateDancer Studio will act by
dropping the dancer’s classes. The dancer will be required to re-enroll in the
studio by issuing a new registration fee and class payment. If Parent decides not to return after classes have been dropped due to non-payment, a payment equivalent to one month's tuition shall be required as an early termination fee. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid in full to finalize the termination of the contractual agreement.

Please note that all payments made to the EducateDancer Studio are
nonrefundable and non-transferable.

If you are to make a payment for a special class, event, program, or
workshop and wish to discontinue or cannot attend, you do have the option
of using this payment as studio credit. This option is not available to
parent/students whose enrollment has been terminated due to breaking
any of the following studio policies.

Enrollment can be terminated without receiving a refund.If you participated in
our annual Popcorn Fundraiser and decide to leave the studio with a remaining
credit, your fundraising funds will be forfeited to the studio.
