You must be over 18 to register for an account. Unless you are paying via a Charter School Purchase Order, you must enroll in autopay in order to register for a class but you will always be able to see your account balance and the amount to be charged before the payment due date. You may also choose to pay in person before the due date and this new system will credit the account and not bill an auto payment. Financial Aid recipients will see the balance decrease once financial aid is granted. You may contact us to request a change in the due date if your circumstances so require, and we will do our best to accommodate this.

LIABILITY WAIVER: I understand that the Hi-Desert Cultural Center is providing this Program. In the event my child is injured or should require medical attention, I hereby request that you contact me or the emergency contact(s) listed on the Emergency and Medical Information Form. In the event that neither I nor the other emergency contacts can be reached, I hereby authorize the HDCC to secure necessary medical treatment for my child. I further acknowledge that I will be responsible for any medical or hospital fees or costs associated with my child’s medical treatment. I understand that as a participant, my child may be dancing, running, jumping, and performing various movements as part of the arts programming. I understand that my child may be running, jumping, dancing near moveable set pieces. I assume all risks and hazards to such participation and hereby waive, release, absolve, and indemnify and agree to hold harmless HDCC, its organizers, sponsors, supervisors, instructors, staff, and participants for any claims arising out of accidental injury to my child.

INJURY and INSURANCE WAIVER: I understand that parents and/or legal guardians assume full responsibility for any bodily injury incurred by their child while taking part in HDCC’s programs.

IMAGE RELEASE: Photos and/or video of my child may be used for promotional or other related purposes in print, on websites and social media. If applicable, all rights to any images are released to HDCC. (There is an opt-out available in the registration.)

I declare that I am the parent or legal guardian of the above named child, and I have custody and control of the child. My registration indicates that I have read, understand, and agree to the terms of the above releases, permissions, and waivers.

HI-DESERT CULTURAL CENTER CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT

The Hi-Desert Cultural Center promises to do the following:
• Provide a safe, fun environment and a positive learning experience for students.
• Provide students with hands-on arts experiences tailored to each student’s age and ability.
• Address students in a polite respectful manner.

In return, HDCC asks all participants to promise to do the following (Parents- please go over these promises with your child.):

Standard Courtesies. HDCC is determined to provide each participant with a professional and participation-oriented arts camp experience. To help achieve this goal, all participants must abide by the following rules:
• Other than for campers who HDCC has authorized a special use (such as blood sugar monitoring) cell phones must be turned off during classes– no texting, either! Those who ignore this rule will have their cell phone sent to “phone jail” where it will be held until the participant (and phone) is released. If parents need to contact their child(ren) during class time, please call 760-853-5003. That number rings throughout the facility and will be answered by staff.
• No gum, soda, or food is allowed in the ANY part of the facilities except for during lunch (or medical need).
• Participants are required to bring a water bottle every day.
• For the daytime programs, Parents must send their child to camp with lunch every day. Lunches must be shelf stable or have their own cold pack. If a child does not bring a lunch we may elect to feed them healthy snacks, and the parent will be charged $8.00. Repeated lack of bringing a lunch may be grounds to dismiss the child from camp with no refund.
• Participants need to discard all trash in appropriate containers. All participants are expected to keep all of HDCC’s spaces clean.

Class Rules. The highest priority of the program’s staff is ensuring participant safety. Students must help in creating and maintaining safe spaces for everyone while on the premises of HDCC. As a camper you must …
• Listen respectfully to all HDCC directors, administrators, and staff when they are giving directions
• Pay attention to where you are and what you are doing at all times
• Not touch any lights or other switches unless instructed to do so
 
• Not run or climb inside unless that action is taking place at the direction of a camp counselor/instructor. No running or climbing outside of the building, THIS INCLUDES TREES – NO CLIMBING ON TREES OR THE SIDES OF THE BUILDING. Parents are responsible for maintaining control of their children when under the parent(s)’ care before or after camp on HDCC property. Parents are responsible for payment to repair and replace dames caused by their child.
• Be respectful of others and avoid shouting, unless it is part of a camp activity.

Off-Limit Areas. Students must stay in the areas where staff/instructors tell students to stay.

Show respect for fellow participants. Students are responsible for their actions. Students should tell an adult staff member of instructor right away if they have any problems or feel that another student is not being nice to them. This is an inclusive instructional experience, and bullying, disrespecting, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.

Clothing. Students must wear closed toe shoes and may not be barefoot at any time (unless instructed to be barefoot by the instructor). Students with long hair should being a clip or ponytail holder for use during some classes. Students may NOT wear skirts (unless they are wearing shorts under the skirt), midriff tops, or clothing with harassing, colorist, discriminatory, bullying, explicit, or generally offensive language. We politely also request that students not wear clothing or bring backpacks with language expressing party-politic points of view.

Both STUDENT AND PARENT have read this Code of Conduct and discussed it and understand the responsibilities and expectations of them.
