LEGACY IRISH DANCE ACADEMY
PARENT/GUARDIAN WAIVER, FINANCIAL AGREEMENT & POLICIES

This Agreement is entered into by the undersigned parent(s) or legal guardian(s) (“Parent/Guardian”) of the minor child(ren) enrolled in classes, events, or programs offered by Legacy Irish Dance Academy (“Academy”) and is effective as of the date of acknowledgment.
By registering my child(ren) with Legacy Irish Dance Academy, I understand and agree that acceptance of these terms and conditions is required for participation.

1. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I acknowledge and fully understand that participation in dance activities, including but not limited to classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and travel, involves physical exertion and carries an inherent risk of personal injury, illness, emotional distress, or property damage.
To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, I, for myself and on behalf of my minor child(ren), hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Legacy Irish Dance Academy, its owners, instructors, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, successors, and assigns (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or illness (including but not limited to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases) sustained while participating in Academy-related activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

2. MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION
In the event of an emergency, I authorize Legacy Irish Dance Academy to seek and obtain any necessary medical treatment for my child(ren), and I agree to be financially responsible for any resulting medical expenses.

3. INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties against any and all claims, suits, actions, damages, or costs (including attorneys’ fees) incurred as a result of the participation of my child(ren) in Legacy Irish Dance Academy’s activities.

4. NON-DISPARAGEMENT CLAUSE
Parent/Guardian agrees not to make, publish, or communicate to any person or entity, in any public or private forum, any defamatory, false, misleading, or negative remarks—written or oral—concerning Legacy Irish Dance Academy, its instructors, staff, volunteers, contractors, or associated persons or organizations. Breach of this policy may result in dismissal from the program and/or legal action.
This includes, but is not limited to:
1. Social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X)
2. Messaging apps or group texts (WhatsApp, Messenger, GroupMe)
3. Emails, websites, forums, or review platforms (Yelp, Google Reviews)
4. Constructive concerns may be shared privately with Academy leadership through appropriate, respectful channels.

5. CLRG TRANSFER & ONE-SCHOOL POLICY
Legacy Irish Dance Academy is a certified school with CLRG (An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha).
- Students may only take Irish dance lessons with one Irish dance school at a time.
- CLRG enforces a 6-month competition ban for students transferring from one CLRG school to another.
- Parents must notify Legacy of any previous schools attended.
- Failure to follow this policy may result in dismissal from the program.

6. FINANCIAL AGREEMENT
By acknowledging this agreement, I authorize automatic tuition drafts via Dance Studio Pro (DSP).

Terms & Tuition:
- Two terms per year: Aug–Dec & Jan–Jun
- First payment of each term obligates you for the full term (Intermediate/Beginner exempt)
- All payments are non-refundable

Payments & Fees:
- Tuition auto-drafted on the 15th of the prior month
- Declined payments: $35 late fee
- Processing fees: 3.1% + $0.35 per transaction (DSP)
- No refunds or prorating for missed classes, illness, or injury

Payment Options:
-Monthly Auto-Draft (Default)
- Full year with 10% discount. Must contact Abbey to coordinate.

Early Withdrawal:
- Mid-term withdrawal: full-term tuition still due
- Option to pay monthly or in full (10% discount if more than 1 month owed)

Monthly Tuition:
Intro / Beginner / Intermediate:
• 1 Class – $80
• 2 Classes – $160
• 3 Classes – $190
• 4 Classes – $200
• Unlimited – $225

Competitive Programs (Advanced /Champ 1/Champ 2):
• $285/month

Family Max:
• $750/month (3+ competitive dancers)

7. GOVERNING LAW AND SEVERABILITY
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the States of South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, as applicable based on the location of participation. If any part of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.


ACKNOWLEDGMENT & DIGITAL SIGNATURE
By checking the box below, I confirm that:
- I have read and understood the terms of this agreement.
- I voluntarily agree to all terms and conditions on behalf of myself and my minor child(ren).
- I understand that my digital acknowledgment is legally binding and serves as my signature.

I hereby give permission to Abbey Wood and all Legacy Staff to take, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, and use any pictures or videos of the registered camper for promotional materials. This includes newsletters, flyers, posters, brochures, advertisements, fundraising letters, annual reports, press kits, and submissions to journalists, websites, social networking sites, and other print and digital communications, without any payment. This permission applies to all languages, media, formats, and markets now known or in the future. This permission is valid indefinitely unless I revoke it in writing.

I understand and agree that these materials will become the property of Legacy and will not be returned. I release Abbey Wood and all Legacy Staff members from any liability, claims, and causes of action that may arise from the use of these materials on my behalf or on behalf of my estate.
