Affirmation Dance

I/we realize that participation in dance classes and activities could involve some possible personal injury. Despite precautions, accidents and injuries may occur. When signing up for dance, I/we (the dancer and parent/guardian) assume all risks related to the use of any and all spaces used by Affirmation Dance.

I/we agree to release and hold harmless Affirmation Dance including its teachers, dancers, staff members and facilities used by Affirmation Dance from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future. I/we will not hold Affirmation Dance liable for any personal injury or any personal property damage, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes. Furthermore, I/we agree to obey the class and facility rules and take full responsibility for my/our behavior in addition to any damage I/we may cause to the facilities utilized by Affirmation Dance.

In the event that I/we should observe any unsafe conduct or conditions before, during or after my/our classes, I/we agree to report the unsafe conduct or conditions to the Executive Director, Artistic Director, Individual Instructor or staff member as soon as possible.


ATTENDANCE AND POLICIES
We encourage attendance on a regular basis.
Dancers will arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before class and will be picked up immediately after.
A $15 charge will apply if your child is dropped off too early or picked up more than 15 minutes late.
Affirmation Dance has the right to charge a merchant fee for credit card payments.
Students are required to be on time to class and wearing proper attire. Students will be asked to sit out of class if attire is inappropriate for dance.
Absolutely no chewing gum or eating is permitted in class. Only water bottles are allowed in the room.
It is a general rule that classes are for students only unless needing assistance in class.
We will follow all school holidays and breaks set out by the Battle River School Calendar (this does not include early dismissal or professional development days). If schools are closed for bad weather conditions Affirmation Dance will also be closed.
If your child is sick we encourage you to keep them home and to send us an email notifying us of their absence so we can plan class accordingly.
Dancers are to wait in the lobby until Miss Shannon comes to retrieve them so we have a smooth transition between classes.
Families please wait in lobby during class and keep voices at a considerate level.
If any child may need assistance using the washroom facilities please stay for the duration if their class.
Anyone with children 5 and under are strongly encouraged to stay for their class time as Miss Shannon won't always have a student helper and will be unable to escort tiny dancers to the washroom as she must supervise her classroom.
There is a 0 tolerance for bullying of any kind at AD.
AD does not tolerate defamatory comments about other studios, persons, or AD itself.
If any classes are missed due to instructor illness, classes will be made up by an instructor before the end of the season.
If classes are cancelled due to weather AD will do their best to make up classes before the end of the year but cannot guarantee all classes will be made up.
All classes except for Acro Skills classes participate in recital and parents understand attendance is mandatory.
When signing up for a team class parents understand attendance in mandatory for festival, showcase and recital.

Affirmation Dance has a strict no refund policy for any fees paid (unless under extraordinary circumstances).
All fees are to be paid by Feb 1st 2026 if registered for full season and on a monthly payment plan. If fees are not paid dancers will be asked to sit out until fees are paid in full. If fees are not paid in timely manner dancers will not participate in competition or recital.
If classes are shut down due to reasons outside of AD's control (such as a government mandate) there will be no refunds.

Payments are made online on Dance Studio Pro via Credit Card. Monthly payments options available for select classes. Or pay in full via e-Transfer to affirmationdance@gmail.com. Valid credit card must be kept on file. Payment plans are set out under the agreement that you have committed to the class. It is not a payment option. Once classes begin if you decide not to return to dance you still owe the class fees agreed upon. Parents must cancel 30 days prior to next payment not be charged for future payments. All fees already paid to AD are non-refundable.

Valid credit card must be kept on file. Payment plans are set out under the agreement that you have committed to the class for the season. You must cancel 15 days prior to next payment (which is the first of each month starting September 1st and ending in February 1st) not be charged for the next tuition instalment. All fees paid to AD are non-refundable, however if there is space in an alternative class a dancer may move a monthly tuition payment to another style of dance, and when possible on a case by case basis to another family member if cancelled appropriately within the 15 day time period (dependant on time of year and classes already attended). The required payment upon initial registration to secure a spot in class without exception cannot be reallocated or refunded.

When a parent signs up for dance at Affirmation Dance, they agree to the terms above.

Parents are aware that Affirmation Dance has a no refund policy. All fees paid are nonrefundable.

When a parent signs up for dance at AD they have read all policy, registration, waiver, consent and fees information listed and agree to the terms above.
