Payment & Fees
All payments must be made online through the Appalachian Performing Arts Studio Pro system. Cash and check payments are not accepted. Use the QR code or website shown.
One half of the total tuition is due at the time of registration and is nonrefundable. This amount will be applied towards tuition.
The remaining half must be paid in full prior to attendance in any program. Students will not be permitted to participate if the balance is not paid in full in advance.
All tuition and fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Parents and account holders are responsible for regularly checking email and Studio Pro notifications.
Student Expectations and Code of Conduct
Appalachian Performing Arts is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Students are expected to arrive:
on time,
prepared (including appropriate dress), and
ready to participate.
Students must follow all staff instructions and the Summer Program Dress Code.
Students must maintain a welcoming atmosphere of respect toward instructors, staff, other students, and the facility at all times. Bullying, harassment, gossip, cliques, discrimination, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
Inappropriate behavior, threats, insubordination, or inappropriate language is not tolerated.
Use of cell phones and other electronic devices is not permitted during program time unless approved by staff.
Adherence to these expectations and the Code of Conduct is required. Failure to comply may lead to disciplinary action, including removal from a class or the program without a refund.
GENERAL PROGRAM RULES
No food in studio classrooms.
Water only is permitted in classrooms.
No chewing gum or candy.
No street shoes in studio classrooms (lobby/common areas only).
All personal belongings must be kept in a dance bag.
Appalachian Performing Arts is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Students may not attend programs while ill or contagious
Only registered participants and staff are permitted in classroom areas.
No one other than staff may open classroom doors.
First Steps designated adults may attend only as required.
All guests must remain respectful and may not interfere with programs in session.
Drop-Off / Pick-Up Policy
Studio doors open 5 minutes before the scheduled program start time. Students may begin check-in at this time. No early drop-offs, please.
First Steps participants must be accompanied by one designated adult only, who must attend, be attentive, participate and follow staff instructions. No cell phone use during class.
Little Dancers parents may check in their participant and remain in the lobby or return promptly at pickup.
Kinderdance participants may be dropped off and must be picked up at the end of the program.
“Big Kids” and teens/Levels One through Three participants must be dropped off and picked up at scheduled times. Parents and guests are not permitted to remain in the building while programs are in session, but must drop off and return for pickup at the scheduled time.
Appalachian Performing Arts is responsible for students only during scheduled program times. No early drop-offs or late pick-ups.
Children are not to be left unattended. All participating students must be properly checked-in and checked-out.
Students must be picked up promptly at dismissal. Students left more than 10 minutes may incur a staff wait-time fee.
Students may be held in the lobby until a parent or guardian arrives and escorts them from the building.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
Parents/guardians must provide accurate health, allergy, and emergency information via email.
Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children in parking lots and during arrival/departure.
Parents and guests agree not to disrupt any program in session.
All choreography remains the intellectual property of Appalachian Performing Arts and may not be used outside the studio without written permission.
Parents/guardians should label all belongings. The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Parents/guardians are responsible for checking email and Studio Pro regularly for updates, schedules, and account activity.
Health & Safety / Assumption of Risk
Participation in dance involves inherent physical risk. By enrolling, the parent/guardian and participant acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
Appalachian Performing Arts is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or medical conditions occurring before, during, or after participation, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Any student injury or property damage caused by a student—whether intentional or due to negligence—may result in financial responsibility assigned to the parent/guardian.
Students must be in good health to participate and may be removed from class if they present symptoms of illness or contagious conditions.
Media Release
Appalachian Performing Arts may photograph, video record, or otherwise capture student likeness, image, and voice during programs and events. These materials may be used for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes including social media, website, print, and advertising. No compensation is provided for media use. Parents/guardians who do not consent must notify the studio in writing and/or opt out in Studio Pro prior to program participation.
Dress Code
Students must arrive in safe, modest, and movement-appropriate attire.
Skirts and dresses must not exceed knee length and must include shorts or appropriate covering underneath at all times.
Hair must be secured away from the face at all times.
Students may be required to remove any accessories or jewelry at staff discretion.
All students must be modestly covered. Underwear and private areas must not be visible at any time.
Appropriate attire includes athletic wear, dancewear, or comfortable clothing that allows full movement.
Leggings, athletic pants, and athletic shorts are permitted. Denim and restrictive clothing are not permitted.
Dress-up attire is permitted for themed days but must remain modest and appropriate for movement. Clothing may not expose midriff, cleavage, undergarments, or buttocks.
Clothing with profanity, obscene language, or inappropriate imagery is not permitted.
Appalachian Performing Arts reserves the right to determine appropriate attire. Students not in compliance may be asked to sit out.
I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to all Appalachian Performing Arts Summer 2026 Program Info & Policies. I understand that participation indicates acceptance of all rules, expectations, and responsibilities outlined above.
