• Registration A student’s registration will NOT be complete until the registration fee is paid. Registration for full programs is a 10 month commitment Sept-June. Sessional classes run for the allotted time and full tuition is due at registration.
• Tuition The first tuition payment will be collected on September 1st Tuition can be paid monthly or annually (5% discount) for full year programs. The payment plan does not reflect the amount of classes in one particular month, it is based on the year’s tuition and split into 10 equal payments. If tuition is not received within 30 days a late fee will be added to your account. If tuition has not been received within 60 days the student will not be able to attend classes until payment is received.
• Costume fees are due with first months tuition.
• Withdrawal & Refunds Students wishing to withdraw from the studio must give written notice 30 days in advance of the next scheduled payment, up until April 1st. A student may choose to continue classes during this 30 days if they wish. A student is considered registered at Vanshaw until written notice is received of withdrawal by completing the withdrawal form. All Vanshaw costumes (skirts and dresses) must be returned before future payments are stopped. After April 1st, NO withdrawals will be accepted and NO refunds will be given for withdrawals, and tuition will be due for the final months of the season (April,May,June) . No refunds are given for classes missed, however one (1) make up class per month may be scheduled immediately following your absence. The scheduled make up class must be in the same month as the class missed unless instructor informs alternatives.
- Refunds will not be provided for tuition paid in full at the beginning of the season.
--Refunds will not be provided for tuition paid for by sport funding (kidsport, jumpstart). Students wishing to withdrawal who have received funding from these programs should alert the funding provider of their unenrollment and Vanshaw Academy will work with the funding organization to return excess tuition for use in other sport activities.

• Classes will be conducted with the doors closed to protect the privacy of the students in the class and provide a class environment free of external distractions.
• All absences are to be reported to the studio prior to the student missing via email. Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class and kept track of throughout the year. It is important that your child attends dance class every week. Good attendance is imperative to the success of your dancer.
• Cancellations In the event of cancellations due to weather, power outage or illness we will provide notification by email & facebook/instagram
Vanshaw Academy reserves the right to refuse business to anyone. The studio reserves the right to cancel the enrollment of a child for the following reasons:
1. Non-payment or excessive late payment of fees.
2. Not observing the rules and/or policies of the studio
3. The child has special needs, which we cannot adequately meet with our current program.
4. Physical and/or verbal abuse of staff or children by a parent or child.
• Supervision: Vanshaw studio is not staffed to monitor unchaperoned students before or after a student’s class time. If a student is under 10 years of age, parent/guardian should remain with their student until class time begins and notify of a late pick-up.
• Community Center Usage: Vanshaw Academy rents space from WoodCreek Community Center and Parkland Community Center. The Community Center staff is not responsible for your child before or after class times. Other activities may be happening in the community center during class time. Please be respectful of others in hallways and waiting areas.
• Liability; I agree not to hold The Vanshaw Academy of Irish Dance, the directors, its instructors, associates and/or volunteers responsible for any loss, injury, accident, and/or liability that might occur as a result of my child/children participating in Irish dance classes, performances or activities. In the event of a medical emergency I, the undersigned, give permission to Vanshaw Academy of Irish Dance., its directors, instructors, associates and/or volunteers to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent, guardian or emergency contact. I also agree that I will be responsible for any financial debt incurred by said action. I have declared on this form any physical/mental disabilities, limitations, restrictions or conditions and I further state that my child/children are in good physical and mental health and are not restricted from any physical activities such as dance.
