Inspirations Dance Studio
Registration Waiver & Studio Policies
By registering myself and/or a minor participant for classes, programs, camps, workshops, performances, events, fitness activities, or other services offered by **Inspirations Dance Studio ("IDS")**, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the following policies.
1. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
I understand that dance, movement, fitness, tumbling, stretching, performance activities, and other programs offered by Inspirations Dance Studio involve physical activity and carry inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls, collisions, muscle strains, sprains, fractures, and other injuries.
I voluntarily choose to participate and/or allow the minor participant I am registering to participate in IDS activities and knowingly assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Inspirations Dance Studio, its directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, volunteers, and agents from claims arising from the ordinary and inherent risks associated with participation in IDS activities.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to waive rights or claims that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
2. Physical Instruction & Corrections
I understand that dance and movement instruction may occasionally require appropriate physical contact between an instructor and participant for purposes such as correcting alignment, demonstrating positioning, providing spotting or safety assistance, or helping a participant understand a movement.
IDS instructors are expected to use professional, appropriate, and respectful teaching practices.
Participants are encouraged to communicate their comfort level with physical corrections. A participant or parent/guardian may request that an instructor use verbal or visual corrections instead whenever reasonably possible.
Please notify IDS of any accommodations, sensory needs, physical limitations, or other considerations that may help us provide the participant with a positive and successful class experience.
3. Medical Information & Emergency Care
I certify that I have provided IDS with relevant information regarding medical conditions, allergies, injuries, physical restrictions, developmental needs, or other circumstances that may reasonably affect safe participation.
I understand that it is my responsibility to update IDS if this information changes.
In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency, IDS will make reasonable efforts to contact the participant's parent/guardian or emergency contact.
If they cannot be reached and IDS reasonably believes immediate medical attention is necessary, I authorize IDS staff to contact emergency medical services and obtain appropriate emergency care for the participant.
I understand that I am responsible for medical expenses incurred on behalf of myself or the participant, except where otherwise required by law.
4. Tuition & Registration
IDS classes operate on a **month-to-month tuition basis** unless otherwise stated for a particular program, camp, workshop, package, or session.
An **annual registration fee of $35 per dancer** is due at registration and is non-refundable once registration has been processed, except where otherwise required by law.
Monthly tuition is based on enrollment in the class rather than the number of classes occurring in a particular calendar month. Tuition therefore is not automatically prorated for scheduled studio closures, holidays, or breaks included in the IDS calendar.
Tuition and applicable fees are due according to the payment schedule provided at registration.
Accounts with unpaid tuition after the **5th of the month** may be assessed a **$15 late fee**.
A valid payment method may be required to remain on file while actively enrolled.
5. Payment Responsibility
The individual creating the account and/or completing registration is financially responsible for tuition and fees associated with the account unless IDS has approved another payment arrangement in writing.
If another individual, agency, organization, scholarship program, or third-party payer is responsible for some or all charges, the registering party remains responsible for amounts not covered or paid by that third party unless IDS has agreed otherwise in writing.
Participation in a scholarship, DDA-funded program, grant-supported program, or other financial assistance program does not automatically waive registration fees, costume fees, recital fees, or other charges unless specifically stated by IDS.
6. Withdrawal & Cancellation
Enrollment continues on a month-to-month basis until IDS receives the required notice of withdrawal.
Families wishing to discontinue a class must notify IDS according to the studio's current withdrawal procedures.
Simply not attending class does **not** constitute withdrawal.
Charges already incurred before the effective withdrawal date remain the responsibility of the account holder.
Registration fees, costume payments, recital-related fees, and other specially ordered or committed expenses may be non-refundable once IDS has incurred the related expense.
Any refund or account credit otherwise available will be determined according to the applicable IDS refund and cancellation policy and applicable law.
7. Missed Classes
Tuition is not prorated or refunded for classes missed because of a participant's personal schedule, vacation, illness, or absence.
When available and appropriate, IDS may allow a participant to attend an approved make-up class. Make-up classes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Please notify the studio when you or your dancer will be absent whenever reasonably possible.
8. Studio Cancellations, Weather & Emergencies
IDS may cancel, modify, relocate, or reschedule classes when necessary because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, instructor illness, emergencies, facility issues, or circumstances outside the studio's reasonable control.
When appropriate and reasonably available, IDS may provide a make-up class, alternate class, virtual option, rescheduled class, or another reasonable accommodation.
9. Class Placement & Schedule Changes
IDS reserves the right to adjust instructors, class schedules, classroom assignments, and program offerings when necessary.
Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be combined, rescheduled, or canceled.
Instructors may recommend moving a dancer to another class or level when they believe a different placement would better support the dancer's development, safety, or overall experience.
IDS will communicate significant placement or schedule changes with families whenever reasonably possible.
10. Costumes, Performances & Recitals
Participation in performances and recitals may involve additional expenses, including costumes, recital fees, tickets, accessories, or other performance-related costs.
Applicable fees and deadlines will be communicated before payment is required whenever reasonably possible.
Costume payments may become non-refundable once costumes have been ordered or IDS has otherwise committed those funds to the vendor.
Participation in performances or recitals is subject to the requirements communicated for that particular event.
11. Photography & Video
IDS may photograph or record classes, performances, rehearsals, events, and studio activities.
Because consent regarding a participant's image is important, photography and media authorization should be handled through the applicable **IDS Photo & Media Release** associated with the participant's account.
A participant's enrollment status will not be represented as granting broader photo or promotional rights than those provided through the applicable media authorization.
12. Inclusive Participation & Accommodations
Inspirations Dance Studio strives to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for dancers of varying abilities, backgrounds, experience levels, and support needs.
Families are encouraged to communicate accommodations or support needs that may help a participant succeed.
IDS will work collaboratively with participants and families when additional support is needed. If a participant's behavior creates an immediate safety concern for themselves or others, IDS may pause participation while working with the family to determine appropriate supports, accommodations, placement, or next steps.
13. Conduct & Studio Environment
Participants, parents, guardians, guests, instructors, staff, and volunteers are expected to treat one another with respect.
Behavior that threatens the safety or well-being of participants or staff, including harassment, bullying, threats, violence, or repeated significant disruption, may result in removal from a class or program.
Whenever appropriate, IDS will attempt to communicate concerns and work with the participant or family before making significant enrollment decisions.
14. Parent/Guardian Responsibility
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring IDS has current contact and emergency information.
Parents/guardians are also responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up of minor participants and for following any supervision requirements communicated for their child's program.
IDS is not responsible for supervising a participant outside of their scheduled program except as specifically arranged.
