Spokane Bungee Fitness

Participation Waiver, Assumption of Risk & Policies

**Operated through Inspirations Dance Studio**

Participation in bungee fitness involves physical activity and specialized equipment. Please read this agreement carefully before participating.

By registering for or participating in a Spokane Bungee Fitness class, appointment, workshop, event, or other activity, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the following terms.

1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk

I understand that bungee fitness is a physical activity that may include jumping, bouncing, running, squatting, lunging, balancing, resistance exercises, suspended movements, rapid changes in direction, cardiovascular exercise, stretching, and other movements while connected to specialized bungee equipment.

I understand that participation carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:

* Slips, trips, and falls
* Loss of balance or control
* Muscle strains, sprains, soreness, or fatigue
* Joint, back, neck, or other musculoskeletal injuries
* Bruising or discomfort from the harness or equipment
* Collision with another participant, equipment, walls, floors, or other objects
* Dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, or fainting
* Aggravation of a pre-existing injury or medical condition
* Equipment-related injury
* Other serious injury that may occur during physical activity

I voluntarily choose to participate and knowingly assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with bungee fitness.

2. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless **Spokane Bungee Fitness, Inspirations Dance Studio**, and their directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, volunteers, and agents from claims arising from the ordinary and inherent risks associated with my participation or the participation of the minor for whom I am legally authorized to sign.

Nothing in this agreement is intended to release any person or organization from liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

3. Participant Health & Fitness

I understand that it is my responsibility to determine whether I am physically capable of safely participating in bungee fitness.

I agree to disclose to the instructor any injury, physical limitation, medical condition, pregnancy, recent surgery, balance concern, or other circumstance that may affect safe participation.

I understand that Spokane Bungee Fitness instructors are not medical professionals and cannot determine whether participation is medically appropriate for me.

If I am uncertain whether I should participate because of a medical condition, injury, pregnancy, surgery, medication, or other health concern, I understand that I should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before participating.

I agree to immediately stop participating and notify the instructor if I experience pain, dizziness, faintness, unusual shortness of breath, chest discomfort, numbness, weakness, or another concerning symptom.

4. Bungee Equipment & Harness

I understand that participation requires the use of specialized equipment, which may include a harness, bungee cords, carabiners, attachment points, rigging, and related equipment.

I agree to:

* Follow all instructor directions regarding equipment.
* Allow trained staff to properly fit and inspect my harness and equipment.
* Not attach, detach, adjust, alter, or misuse equipment unless specifically instructed to do so.
* Immediately report equipment that appears damaged, uncomfortable, loose, improperly fitted, or unsafe.
* Not use bungee equipment without instructor authorization and supervision.

I understand that a properly fitted harness may feel snug and may cause temporary pressure, rubbing, or minor discomfort.

5. Weight & Equipment Requirements

I understand that bungee equipment has specific participant and equipment limitations.

The current maximum participant weight for Spokane Bungee Fitness is **300 pounds**.

Participants must provide accurate information when requested so instructors can determine appropriate equipment and bungee resistance.

Spokane Bungee Fitness reserves the right to restrict participation when available equipment cannot be safely fitted to a participant or when participation would exceed manufacturer, facility, or equipment limitations.

6. Required Pre-Flight Training

New participants may be required to complete the Spokane Bungee Fitness **Pre-Flight program** before participating in Level 1 or other designated bungee classes.

Pre-Flight introduces participants to:

* Harness fitting
* Equipment and safety procedures
* Proper bungee positioning
* Balance and control
* Basic movements
* Safe takeoff and landing techniques
* Instructor commands and class expectations

Completion of Pre-Flight does not eliminate the risks associated with bungee fitness.

Instructors may require additional introductory instruction before advancing a participant when reasonably necessary for safety.

7. Instructor Directions & Safety Rules

I agree to follow all safety instructions and instructor directions while participating.

I understand that an instructor may modify an activity, require me to stop a particular movement, remove me from the equipment, or discontinue my participation if the instructor reasonably believes continuing would create a safety concern.

Participants may not use bungee equipment without an authorized instructor present.

Horseplay, intentionally unsafe movements, unauthorized tricks, and misuse of equipment are prohibited.

8. Physical Contact & Equipment Assistance

I understand that bungee instruction may require appropriate physical contact.

An instructor may need to assist with:

* Fitting or adjusting a harness
* Attaching or detaching equipment
* Checking equipment positioning
* Correcting body alignment
* Providing spotting or balance assistance
* Responding to a safety concern

Such contact will be used for legitimate instructional or safety purposes.

Participants are encouraged to communicate any concerns or accommodation needs to the instructor.

9. Clothing & Personal Belongings

Participants should wear comfortable, fitted athletic clothing appropriate for physical activity and compatible with the bungee harness.

Participants should avoid clothing, jewelry, accessories, or other items that could become caught in the equipment or interfere with proper harness fitting.

Spokane Bungee Fitness may require removal or adjustment of an item when necessary for safety.

10. Medical Emergency Authorization

In the event of an injury or medical emergency, staff will make reasonable efforts to contact the participant's emergency contact or, for a minor, their parent/legal guardian.

If immediate medical attention is reasonably believed to be necessary, I authorize Spokane Bungee Fitness and Inspirations Dance Studio personnel to contact emergency medical services.

I understand that I am responsible for medical expenses associated with emergency care for myself or the minor participant, except where otherwise required by law.

11. Minors

Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian and must satisfy all applicable Spokane Bungee Fitness participation requirements.

A parent or legal guardian must complete the required **Minor Participant Waiver and Authorization** before a minor may participate.

Spokane Bungee Fitness may establish age, size, maturity, equipment-fit, or class-level requirements when reasonably necessary for participant safety.

12. Class Reservations, Cancellations & No-Shows

Bungee classes have limited capacity because each participant requires an individual bungee station and properly fitted equipment.

Reservations are therefore strongly encouraged and may be required.

Participants agree to follow the cancellation and rescheduling policy provided when booking.

Late cancellations and no-shows may result in the loss of the class credit, session, or payment associated with the reservation according to the applicable booking policy.

### 13. Participant Conduct

Participants must behave in a manner that supports a safe class environment.

Spokane Bungee Fitness reserves the right to stop or refuse participation when a participant:

* Refuses to follow safety instructions
* Intentionally misuses equipment
* Creates an unreasonable safety risk
* Appears unable to safely participate
* Engages in threatening, abusive, or significantly disruptive behavior

Safety decisions made during class are at the discretion of the instructor.

14. Photography & Media

Participation in bungee fitness does not automatically constitute permission for Spokane Bungee Fitness or Inspirations Dance Studio to use a participant's image for advertising or promotional purposes.

Photography and promotional media authorization will be governed by the participant's applicable **Photo & Media Release**.

15. Acknowledgment

By electronically accepting this waiver, I acknowledge that:

* I have carefully read and understand this agreement.
* I understand that bungee fitness involves physical activity and inherent risks.
* I voluntarily choose to participate or authorize the minor participant to participate.
* I accept responsibility for following instructor directions and safety requirements.
* I have disclosed relevant information that may affect safe participation.
* I understand that I may stop participating at any time if I feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
* I understand that completion of training does not eliminate the inherent risks of bungee fitness.
* I agree to the policies and requirements stated above.

I understand that my electronic acceptance constitutes my acknowledgment and agreement to these terms.
