ROZ’S DANCE WORKS
2026–2027 SERVICE AND POLICY AGREEMENT
This agreement is between Roz’s Dance Works (“RDW”) and the enrolled dancer and the dancer’s parent or legal guardian when applicable (“Participant” or “Family”).
ANNUAL PROGRAM AND TUITION
Enrollment is for the 2026–2027 full-season dance program. Tuition is calculated as an annual program rate and divided into ten monthly payments from September through June. It is not based on the number of classes held during an individual month.
Tuition includes regularly scheduled class instruction, the scheduled final rehearsal, and dancer participation in the annual show. Costumes, show tickets, private lessons, competition expenses, and specially designated programs are separate unless expressly stated otherwise.
The applicable tuition schedule will be presented separately. Tuition will not become due until RDW confirms the dancer’s class placement and provides the Family with payment instructions.
Once billing begins, monthly tuition is due on the first day of each month. A $25 late fee may be assessed when payment remains unpaid after the 15th. A returned check or returned payment may incur a $25 fee. Families experiencing an unusual financial circumstance are encouraged to contact RDW promptly.
PAYMENT METHODS AND CREDIT-CARD SURCHARGE
A 3% surcharge applies only to payments made by credit card and does not exceed RDW’s actual cost of accepting the credit card. The surcharge does not apply to payments made by cash, check, ACH bank transfer, debit card, or prepaid card.
Before a credit-card payment is submitted, the surcharge will be displayed as a separate dollar amount along with the full credit-card price. By selecting credit card as the payment method and submitting payment, the Family agrees to pay the displayed credit-card price.
REGISTRATION AND CLASS PLACEMENT
Registration requests do not guarantee that a particular class will operate or that the dancer’s requested placement will be approved. Classes, schedules, instructors, and placements remain subject to enrollment minimums, appropriate class size, dancer readiness, and final studio confirmation.
Class placement is based on age, experience, technical development, safety, and instructor assessment. RDW may recommend a different class or level when appropriate.
ATTENDANCE AND PERFORMANCE READINESS
Consistent attendance and punctuality are important to individual progress, group choreography, and performance readiness. Families should notify the studio as early as reasonably possible when a dancer will be absent.
An absence will not automatically remove a dancer from the annual show. If repeated or extended absences affect the dancer’s readiness, safety, or ability to participate in group choreography, the instructor will communicate with the Family. A practice video, available make-up class, or private catch-up lesson may be recommended.
Show participation or placement may be adjusted when necessary based on the dancer’s demonstrated readiness. Attendance at the scheduled final rehearsal is required for show participation unless the absence has been discussed with and approved by RDW in advance.
MISSED CLASSES, CLOSINGS, AND MAKE-UPS
Tuition is not refunded or prorated for a dancer’s absence. When available and approved by RDW, a dancer may be offered a suitable make-up class, practice material, or private catch-up lesson. Make-up opportunities are not guaranteed.
RDW may cancel, reschedule, combine, substitute, or provide a virtual class when necessary because of weather, instructor illness, facility conditions, emergencies, or insufficient enrollment. Closure and schedule information may be communicated through DanceStudio-Pro, email, text message, the RDW website, or official social-media pages.
WITHDRAWAL
A Family wishing to withdraw must provide written notice to RDW. Telling an instructor or discontinuing attendance does not constitute formal withdrawal. Tuition and other charges already due remain payable, and previously paid tuition is nonrefundable except when RDW cancels a class without offering an appropriate alternative.
A final withdrawal notice period and effective date will be stated before billing begins.
ANNUAL SHOW, COSTUMES, AND TICKETS
Dancer participation in the annual show is included in the full-season program, subject to attendance, readiness, safety, and final placement. Costumes and show tickets are separate expenses and are not included in tuition.
Costume orders are placed specifically for each dancer. Costume payments are nonrefundable after an order has been submitted unless RDW receives a refund from the vendor.
DRESS AND STUDIO CONDUCT
Dancers must wear class-appropriate dance attire and footwear as directed by the instructor. Hair must be secured away from the face when required for safe movement and proper instruction.
Street shoes are not permitted on dance floors. Jeans, unsafe jewelry, chewing gum, food, and beverages other than closed water bottles are not permitted in the dance area unless specifically authorized.
Participants and visitors are expected to treat instructors, staff, dancers, families, and studio property respectfully. Unsafe, disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing conduct may result in removal from a class or program after appropriate communication with the Family.
ARRIVAL, DISMISSAL, AND SUPERVISION
Dancers should arrive on time and be picked up promptly after class. Parents and guardians are responsible for arranging safe arrival and departure. RDW is not responsible for a minor before the dancer has been received for class or after the dancer has been released at dismissal.
OBSERVATION AND COMMUNICATION
RDW may offer designated in-person or virtual observation opportunities during the season. Families should direct questions regarding placement, progress, or concerns to RDW outside instructional time so that classes are not interrupted.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA
Photography and video permission will be requested separately. Declining promotional media permission will not prevent a dancer from enrolling.
Families and visitors may not photograph, record, livestream, or distribute images of other dancers without studio authorization and appropriate permission.
CHOREOGRAPHY AND STUDIO MATERIALS
Original choreography, lesson materials, recordings, production concepts, and other materials developed by RDW or its instructors may not be copied, taught, performed elsewhere, published, or commercially used without written authorization. Practice materials provided to Families are for the enrolled dancer’s personal use.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Dance and movement activities involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, strains, and other injuries. The Participant agrees to follow studio rules and instructor safety directions and to disclose relevant medical or physical limitations.
In an emergency, RDW may contact emergency services and the individuals listed on the dancer’s account. The Family remains responsible for medical decisions and expenses. Nothing in this agreement releases RDW from responsibility that cannot lawfully be waived.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By accepting this agreement, the Participant or parent/legal guardian confirms that they have reviewed and agree to the current RDW policies and understand that registration remains subject to final class confirmation.
