2026–2027 PRIVACY NOTICE
Roz’s Dance Works (“RDW,” “we,” or “the studio”) respects the privacy of its dancers and families. This notice explains the information we collect, how we use and protect it, and when it may be shared.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
RDW may collect information necessary to register dancers, provide instruction, communicate with families, process payments, maintain attendance and performance records, and respond to emergencies. This may include:
• Dancer and parent or guardian names
• Birth dates and age information
• Addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses
• Emergency-contact information
• Class enrollment, attendance, placement, and performance information
• Relevant allergy, medical, accessibility, or safety information voluntarily provided by the Family
• Billing, payment, and transaction records
• Photographs or videos when separately authorized
• Communications between the Family and RDW
HOW INFORMATION IS USED
RDW may use this information to:
• Process registration and determine appropriate class placement
• Administer tuition, fees, and account records
• Communicate about classes, schedules, closures, rehearsals, performances, and studio activities
• Support dancer health, safety, accessibility, and emergency response
• Maintain attendance and performance records
• Fulfill legal, insurance, accounting, and business obligations
• Improve studio programs and operations
SERVICE PROVIDERS
RDW uses third-party service providers, including DanceStudio-Pro and payment-processing, accounting, email, insurance, payroll, and technology providers. Information may be processed by these providers only as reasonably necessary to perform services for RDW and is also subject to their applicable privacy and security practices.
Payment information entered online is processed through the applicable payment provider. Families should not send complete credit-card or bank-account information through ordinary email or text message.
SHARING OF INFORMATION
RDW does not sell dancer or family personal information. Information may be shared with instructors and authorized staff when reasonably necessary for studio operations, dancer instruction, or safety.
Information may also be disclosed to emergency personnel, insurers, professional advisers, service providers, government agencies, or other parties when reasonably necessary, authorized by the Family, or required by law.
CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
Registration and account management for dancers under age 18 must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. Children under age 13 should not independently submit personal information through the RDW website, parent portal, email, or social-media accounts.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS
Preferences concerning the use of a dancer’s identifiable photograph or recording in studio-created public or promotional materials are managed through the Public Photos Opt-Out setting in the DanceStudio-Pro parent portal.
Families may select or update this preference through the parent portal or by contacting RDW at [rozsdanceworks@gmail.com](mailto:rozsdanceworks@gmail.com). Declining public-photo use will not affect class placement or show participation.
This Privacy Notice does not override a Family’s selected photo preference. Public performances and community events may also be photographed or recorded by audience members, venues, news organizations, or other third parties outside RDW’s control.
DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION
RDW uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information maintained. No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Information will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for studio operations and applicable legal, accounting, insurance, safety, or recordkeeping purposes. Information that is no longer reasonably needed will be appropriately deleted, destroyed, or de-identified when practicable.
FAMILY CHOICES AND REQUESTS
A parent, legal guardian, or adult dancer may request that RDW review or correct account information. A request to delete information will be considered subject to RDW’s legal, financial, insurance, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
Families may unsubscribe from optional promotional emails or texts. Operational communications concerning enrollment, billing, safety, schedule changes, rehearsals, or performances may still be sent while the dancer remains enrolled.

By acknowledging this Privacy Notice, the Family confirms that it has received and reviewed the notice. Acknowledgment does not replace any separate consent required for payment authorization, emergency care, photography, video, or promotional use.
