I acknowledge and agree that Ballet Arkansas may seek to provide me with notice of updates to policy in writing by contacting me at the email address I provided when creating my account, and that all policies, and updates to policy, shall be made readily available online at www.balletarkansas.org.

I understand that certain Ballet Arkansas programs require or utilize automatic payment processing through Studio Pro.
I authorize Ballet Arkansas to charge the payment method on file for all fees associated with my account, including tuition, registration fees, production fees, and other applicable charges, according to published billing schedules.
I understand that payment obligations remain my responsibility regardless of participation, attendance, or withdrawal.
This authorization remains in effect until written notice is provided to education@balletarkansas.org and all outstanding balances are paid in full. I agree to maintain current and accurate payment information on file.

This waiver applies to participation in Ballet Arkansas Community Cast productions.

I acknowledge that participation is subject to acceptance materials, rehearsal schedules, and production guidelines provided by Ballet Arkansas.

I agree to attend required rehearsals, fittings, and performances. I understand that attendance and punctuality are required, and that excessive absences or failure to meet participation expectations may result in removal from the production.

I agree to all applicable production fees, including costume and related expenses, which are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in program materials.

I understand that I remain financially responsible for all applicable fees unless written withdrawal is submitted to education@balletarkansas.org.

EDUCATION PROGRAM POLICIES
These policies apply to all Ballet Arkansas Education programs, including the School for Dance, Summer Programs, Community Cast, and other educational offerings unless otherwise noted in program-specific materials. Program-specific enrollment guides may provide additional requirements or exceptions. In the event of conflict, the program-specific guide governs.

Refunds are not provided for absences.
If an underage student needs to leave early:

INJURY & ILLNESS
Medical conditions affecting participation should be communicated promptly
Basic first aid may be provided onsite
Emergency contacts will be notified in the event of serious injury
Refunds are not provided for injury or illness-related absences
Ballet Arkansas is not responsible for injuries sustained during participation

FOOD ALLERGIES
Parents/guardians must notify Ballet Arkansas of all allergies prior to participation.
Students are expected to:

CODE OF CONDUCT
All participants are expected to maintain respectful behavior toward faculty, staff, peers, and facilities.
Ballet Arkansas reserves the right to:
Remove or suspend participants for unsafe or disruptive behavior
Deny continued participation when conduct is inappropriate
Prohibited behaviors include:
Harassment or bullying
Discriminatory or threatening language
Physical aggression
Theft or vandalism
Disruption of instruction or operations

CELL PHONES & ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Devices must be silenced and stored in dance bags during class or rehearsal. Devices may be checked between classes for emergency purposes only.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Ballet Arkansas is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Valuables should be left at home.
​
LOBBY & OBSERVATION
Parents and guardians may wait in designated lobby or common areas when applicable.
Studio and rehearsal spaces are closed to observation unless otherwise stated.
Access to studios is restricted during instruction and rehearsal.
Emergency exceptions may apply at staff discretion.

DRESS CODE
​Footlights Dance Store, the official shoe sponsor of Ballet Arkansas, is available to assist you with all of your dance wear needs.

YOUTH DIVISION | COMMUNITY CAST | SUMMER PROGRAMS
Students are expected to arrive in appropriate ballet attire for their class level.
Female students:
Black leotard (School for Dance and Community Cast), Colored Leotard (Summer Programs), Blue Leotard (YAGP)
Full-length pink tights with pink ballet shoes
Dancers of color may wear full-length skin-tone tights and skin-tone ballet shoes
Tights must be worn inside ballet slippers; drawstrings must be tucked
Leotards must be free of attached skirts, except where program-specific exceptions apply (e.g., Creative Movement)
Hair must be secured in a bun or similar updo and kept out of the face and eyes
Male students:
White or black fitted t-shirt
Dance belt (as appropriate)
White or black ballet shoes
Black tights or dance shorts
Hair should be neat and secured away from the face
All students:
Warm-ups must be removed before class and stored in dance bags
All items must be clearly labeled

ADULT DIVISION
Form-fitting athletic wear or traditional ballet attire with ballet slippers (leather or canvas for proper traction on the specialized marley dance floor).​​

POINTE TRAINING
Pointe work is an advanced and specialized component of Ballet Arkansas training, offered to students as they demonstrate appropriate technical readiness and strength. Pre-pointe and pointe placement are determined by faculty based on established technical and developmental criteria, including strength, alignment, and overall readiness.

Pointe training is introduced progressively and may be adjusted over time to support each dancer’s continued growth and safety.
Ballet Arkansas reserves the right to:
approve or deny pointe participation
adjust placement or class assignment
remove a student from pointe work if safety or readiness concerns arise
All decisions are made in support of long-term dancer health, development, and injury prevention.

Ballet Arkansas maintains Health & Safety policies informed by public health guidance and institutional best practices. These policies may be updated at any time.

Participants are expected to refrain from attending classes, rehearsals, or events if they are experiencing symptoms of communicable illness that may affect others.

Ballet Arkansas may require a participant to modify participation or leave a facility if symptoms of illness are observed or reported.
Participants are responsible for notifying Ballet Arkansas in advance of any medical conditions that may impact participation or require accommodation.

Basic hygiene practices, including hand sanitization, may be encouraged or required during participation.
Ballet Arkansas reserves the right to restrict facility access to registered participants as needed to maintain safe operating conditions.

Parent/Guardian and participant acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that: Participation in activities with others or in the community, including activities of a physical or athletic nature, may lead to the exposure to illness from infectious diseases, including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19, and to physical injury. While particular rules, controls, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness, injury, and death does exist; and, Participant/Parent Guardian KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUMES ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for Participant's participation; and, Participant, and Participant's heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS Ballet Arkansas, their agents, officers, directors, interns, volunteers, patrons, students, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct business or artistic or educational activities (herein deemed RELEASEE), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I grant Ballet Arkansas permission to use photographs and video recordings of participants taken during classes, rehearsals, auditions, or performances for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes.

Participant names and personal identifying information will not be disclosed without additional consent.

In registering for Ballet Arkansas programs, including classes, camps, and Community Cast opportunities, I acknowledge and agree to comply with the Ballet Arkansas Education Program Policies and all program-specific materials applicable to my enrollment.
I understand that Ballet Arkansas policies may be updated from time to time. The most current version of all policies will be made available online at www.balletarkansas.org. Ballet Arkansas may communicate policy updates via the email address associated with my account or through the parent portal.

I understand that withdrawal and billing policies are governed by Ballet Arkansas program materials, and financial responsibility continues in accordance with those terms unless otherwise stated.

I have reviewed and understand the information provided and agree to comply with all applicable policies and procedures. I agree to pay all required tuition and fees as outlined by Ballet Arkansas.

I understand that I remain financially responsible for enrollment unless a written withdrawal is submitted in accordance with program policies.
