Costumes & Recital
Costumes: $70–$100 each (posted in November, due November 15).
Parents are responsible for alterations and shipping costs for exchanges. You will be able to choose your students' costume size in your studio pro account. If you need to exchange a costume, there will be a $15 shipping and handling charge.
Recital assignments: we typically have three recitals. Our recital for the rec program students 18 months to five years old is typical Friday. The rest of our students participate in two recitals on Saturday one at 11 AM and one at 4 PM. This is subject to change depending on enrollment. Our recitals are at Bay City Western here in Auburn. Tickets will go on sale in March. The first run of tickets will be a limited amount (4 per student), April 1 the rest of the tickets will go on sale until sold out. It is your responsibility to purchase tickets.
Recital participation is optional.
To help preserve the excitement and integrity of each performance, we ask that dancers do not post or share full dance choreography on social media, perform routines outside of studio-approved events, or wear costumes outside of scheduled studio activities until our season is complete. This policy ensures that each routine is experienced for the first time on stage whether at Showcase, competitions, or recital keeping that special “wow factor” for our audiences and judges. It also protects the originality and competitive integrity of our routines, respects the time and creativity our instructors dedicate to choreography, and helps keep costumes in excellent condition. That said, we absolutely love seeing our dancers share their passion in other settings! Dancers are always encouraged to participate in school talent shows or community events using their own choreography, choreography from previous seasons, and past costumes. They are also welcome to check out our costume closet to borrow something fun for these opportunities. Additionally, please feel free to reach out to us with event dates. When our schedules allow we truly enjoy supporting our dancers outside of the studio and would be happy to attend. This extends to all kinds of events, not just dance-related ones!
