Waiver, Release of Liability, and Media Consent

I understand that participation in activities at Northwest Theatre Lab, operated by JANDK Enterprises INC., may involve certain inherent risks. These activities include, but are not limited to, musical theatre classes, rehearsals, performances, camps, and related programming.

I acknowledge that these activities may involve:

Physical movement and exertion
Interaction with other participants
The potential for accidental injury
Exposure to illnesses or communicable conditions

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in these activities for myself and/or my child.

Release of Liability

In consideration for participation in programs at Northwest Theatre Lab, I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless JANDK Enterprises INC., dba Northwest Theatre Lab, along with its owners, staff, instructors, contractors, and representatives, from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in any activities.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Personal injury
Illness
Property damage
Any other loss or claim arising from participation

This release applies to all activities conducted:

On-site at Northwest Theatre Lab
Off-site at performance venues or events
During any related travel or transitional activities

This agreement extends to and is binding upon my heirs, assigns, and family members, including any minors under my care.

Health and Safety Acknowledgment

I understand that Northwest Theatre Lab may adjust programming, schedules, or procedures as needed to support the health and safety of participants.

I agree to follow all posted guidelines and expectations while participating in any program.

Media Release

I grant permission for Northwest Theatre Lab to photograph and/or record video of myself and/or my child during participation in programs.

I understand and agree that these images and recordings may be used for:

Promotional materials
Marketing and advertising
Social media and website content
Print and digital publications

I grant Northwest Theatre Lab the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, distribute, and display these materials for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

I understand that no compensation will be provided for the use of these images or recordings.

Acknowledgment and Agreement

I confirm that:

I am the parent or legal guardian of the participant, or I am of legal age to sign this agreement
I have read and fully understand the terms of this waiver
I understand this is a legally binding agreement
I voluntarily agree to all terms stated above

This agreement remains in effect for the entire duration of participation in Northwest Theatre Lab programs.

A parent or legal guardian must sign for any participant under the age of 19.

General Policies NWTL 2026-2027 Season

Northwest Theatre Lab

Sessions

Northwest Theatre Lab operates on four seasonal sessions:

Summer Session | June – August
Fall Session | September – December
Winter Session | January – March
Spring Session | March – June
Enrollment + Fees

An annual enrollment fee of $25 per family is due at the time of your first registration each season.

To reserve a spot in any rehearsal lab or camp, a non-refundable $80 deposit per student is required at the time of enrollment.

This deposit secures your student’s place in the program and allows us to plan staffing, materials, and production needs accordingly.

Tuition + Payments

Tuition is based on the total number of instructional and rehearsal hours for each program. To see the tuition fee for rehearsal & production classes and camps go to the course description page on your parent portal.

Monthly Lab technique class tuition is as follows:

1 Class: $90/month
2 Classes: $162/month
3 Classes: $216/month
4 Classes: $268/month

Tuition reflects enrollment and commitment to a program, not attendance.

Payments + Account Standing

Tuition and fees are due according to the payment schedule assigned at enrollment.

A 5-day grace period is provided for all payments. After this period, a $15 late fee will be applied to the account.

To continue participation in classes, rehearsals, and performances, all accounts must remain in good standing.

Good standing is defined as one of the following:

Payments are current
OR an active line of communication has been established with Northwest Theatre Lab and a payment plan has been agreed upon

We understand that situations arise and are always willing to work with families who communicate with us in a timely manner.

Accounts that fall out of good standing due to lack of payment and lack of communication may result in restricted participation until the account is brought current or a plan is established.

Early Bird Discount

A 15% Early Bird discount is automatically applied at the time of enrollment for families who register and pay in full prior to the Early Bird deadline.

Payments made after the deadline are not eligible for the discount.

Only one discount may be applied per enrollment.

Costumes

A $70 costume rental fee per student, per production (plus applicable tax) will be applied during the first month of rehearsals.

Costume fees are non-refundable and are required for participation in performances.

Families are responsible for providing basic costume items as outlined for each production.

Tickets

Tickets for productions go on sale approximately one month prior to opening.

Cast families receive a 24-hour pre-sale window
Tickets then open to the general public

Ticket Pricing:

$18 | Kids and Jr. Productions
$20 | Full Productions
$28 | Dessert Theatre Productions
(plus applicable ticketing fees)

Children ages 2 and up require a ticket. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

Many productions sell out. We strongly encourage early ticket purchases.

Withdrawals + Refunds
Classes

A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from any class.

No refunds will be issued
Any eligible balance will be applied as an account credit
Rehearsals + Productions

All withdrawals must occur prior to the first rehearsal.

Once rehearsals have begun:

No refunds or credits will be issued

No retroactive withdrawals will be processed.

Attendance Policy

Consistent attendance is essential to both individual growth and the success of the entire cast.

Students are allowed up to 3 absences per production
Absences should be communicated in advance whenever possible

We understand that school events and important commitments may arise. Communication is key.

Exceeding the absence limit may result in reduced participation in the production or removal from specific portions of the performance at the discretion of Northwest Theatre Lab.

Conduct + Community Expectations

Northwest Theatre Lab is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.

Respect for staff, peers, and the process is expected at all times
Bullying or harmful behavior of any kind will not be tolerated
The safety and well-being of all students is a top priority

Behavior that disrupts the learning environment or compromises the safety of others will be addressed immediately.

Northwest Theatre Lab reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior negatively impacts the experience or safety of others.

Text communication may be used for quick questions or time-sensitive needs during business hours.

Families are responsible for reviewing communications and staying informed.

We encourage families to reference provided materials before reaching out with questions, as most answers can often be found there.

Weather + Cancellations

Northwest Theatre Lab generally follows local school closures.

However, due to students attending from multiple districts, closure decisions may vary.

All weather-related updates and cancellations will be communicated via:

By enrolling in any Northwest Theatre Lab program, families acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined above.

Enrollment confirms:

Understanding of tuition, fees, and payment expectations
Commitment to attendance and participation requirements
Agreement to maintain respectful and supportive behavior
Responsibility for staying informed through official communication channels

These policies are in place to ensure a positive, organized, and high-quality experience for all students and families.

Photo and Video Release

Photo and Video Release

Northwest Theatre Lab is a highly visual program, and photography and video are an essential part of how we celebrate, document, and promote our students and productions.

All participants enrolled in Northwest Theatre Lab programs will be photographed and/or video recorded.

Due to the nature of our programming, performances, and promotional needs, we are not able to accommodate requests to opt out of photography or video recording.

Consent and Usage

By enrolling in any Northwest Theatre Lab program, you grant permission for Northwest Theatre Lab to photograph and/or record video of yourself and/or your child.

You further grant Northwest Theatre Lab the unrestricted right to:

Use, reproduce, edit, and distribute photos and video recordings
Publish and display these materials in print and digital formats
Use these materials for marketing, advertising, promotional, and educational purposes
Combine these materials with other media or content

This use may include, but is not limited to:

Social media
Website content
Print materials
Promotional campaigns
Archival and portfolio use
Compensation

You understand and agree that no compensation of any kind will be provided for the use of these images or recordings.

Acknowledgment

By completing enrollment through the Northwest Theatre Lab registration system, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Photo and Video Release.
