REGISTRATION FEE: A non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student and $10 each additional sibling will be collected at the time of registration to secure class space. Registration will not be considered complete without payment of the registration fee and first month's tuition.
DRESS CODE: For safety reasons, proper dance wear is required in order to participate in class. A breakdown of our dress code requirements by class can be found on our website at www.RaiseTheBarreDanceAcademy.com.
ABSENCES AND MAKE UP CLASSES: Students are expected to attend class regularly in order to get the most out of the session. However, we understand there are situations where a child must miss class. In this event, we ask that you reach out to Raise the Barre Dance Academy prior to class to let your instructor know your dancer will be absent so your instructor can plan accordingly. No refunds will be available for missed classes.
BAD WEATHER POLICY: In the event that severe weather deems holding class unsafe for our dancers and their families, Raise the Barre Dance Academy will contact the affected classes vis email as well as in our private Facebook Group. While no refunds will be available for weather-related cancelled classes, make up classes may be offered for the affected classes.
TUITION AND FEES: Tuition is pro-rated for longer and shorter months through the session. Tuition is due no later than the 20th of the prior month. A $10 late fee will be applied to your account for any payments received after the 20th of each month. There is a $10 fee for all returned checks. Accounts must be kept in good standing in order for students to participate in weekly classes. Students with an outstanding balance (over 30 days) will not be allowed to participate in class or in any performances until balance is paid in full. All students will be required to have a card on file.
COMMUNICATION: Communication with currently enrolled students is sent home through handouts, notes, and newsletters. Digital communication is sent via email and through our private Facebook Group. You may request access to our private Facebook Group by visiting this link - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2923300464467865.
RECITALS AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES: Each session closes with a performance for our dancers to showcase what they have learned for their families and friends. Session I closes with an in-house Winter Showcase. Session II closes with our annual Spring Recital. Other performance opportunities are offered throughout the year. More information is provided as performance times approach.
PARENT WATCH POLICY: To eliminate distractions, interruptions, and separation anxiety, parents will not be allowed inside the dance room during class time. Students and their caregivers must wait in the lobby prior to dance class. The instructor will welcome students to class and will release the students individually at the end of class.
LOBBY AREA: The lobby at Raise the Barre Dance Academy is a communal space. We encourage caregivers to remain in the lobby during their child's class time. We ask that each person remains respectful of others and that siblings and child are monitored by their adult.
STUDIO CLOSINGS: Raise the Barre Dance Academy follows Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD for holidays such as Fall and Winter Break and inclement weather. Raise the Barre Dance Academy will communicate through email, text, and social media if classes are canceled for any reason. We do not close for teacher in-service/work days or bank holidays.
INJURIES/INSURANCE: Parents and/or legal guardians of minors, students, and visitors waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on the studio's property resulting in any dance activity or any other activity conducted by students before, during, and after class. We require that all students are covered by their family's insurance policy. If injuries occur, it is understood that Raise the Barre Dance Academy, LLC will not be held responsible.
SOCIAL MEDIA: We love when you post about the studio and share posts from our studio with your friends on social media. The positive feedback is helpful in growing our business to better serve our wonderful community. However, if you have a question, concern, or constructive feedback, please reach out to Raise the Barre Dance Academy directly. This way we are able to address your concerns in a quick and efficient manner. Additionally, please be mindful when posting pictures of your dancer(s) on social media. Some families prefer to remain off social media so we kindly ask that you be mindful and avoid posting photos of other students.
MISSION AND FAMILY VALUES: Raise the Barre Dance Academy is committed to providing our students with the resources they need to be their personal best inside and outside the dance room. Our priority is to keep our studio a safe and encouraging place for our students to grow and shine. We value community over competition and strive to provide quality dance instruction at an affordable price. We focus on recreational dance and instilling the appreciation of the art of dance to our students. We value each student and their families as individuals. We ask that our dance families remain kind and respectful to others in order to be the best examples for our children and to keep our growing community kind and positive.
