RAISE THE BARRE DANCE ACADEMY GENERAL LIABILITY WAIVER
Please read carefully. By signing below, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
REGISTRATION: Students must meet age requirements by September 1. Class placement is at the discretion of the instructor or owner.
REGISTRATION FEE: A non-refundable registration fee of $65 per student/$85 for family is due at enrollment. Registration is not complete until the fee and first month's tuition are paid.
TUITION: Tuition is due by the 20th of the preceding month and is non-refundable.
AUTO-PAY: A valid card on file is required. Auto-pay drafts on the 20th of each month and will not include processing fees. A $25 fee applies to failed drafts. An opt-out form is required to decline auto-pay.
LATE FEES: A $25 late fee will be applied on the 21st of the month for late payments, returned checks, and failed drafts. Accounts more than 30 days past due may result in suspension from classes and performances.
WITHDRAWALS: Written notice is required before the 20th to avoid being charged the following month's tuition. A withdrawal form must be completed to finalize withdrawal and settle any remaining balance. Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal.
REFUNDS & MAKE-UPS: Tuition is non-refundable. Students may make-up up to four missed classes in an age-appropriate class, subject to availability. All make-ups must be scheduled in advance with office staff. Drop-ins are not permitted. Make-ups are not available after March 1st due to recital preparation.
TRIAL CLASSES: Students may receive one complimentary trial class. Upon enrollment, full monthly tuition and registration is due.
ABSENCES: Please notify the studio before a missed class. No refunds are given for absences.
STUDIO CLOSINGS: We follow Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD for Fall, Winter, and Spring Breaks and most weather-related closures. We remain open on teacher in-service/work days and bank holidays unless otherwise announced.
BAD WEATHER: Families will be notified by email, text, and/or social media of weather-related closures. No refunds are given for weather cancellations.
COMMUNICATION: Important updates are shared through newsletters, emails, flyers, and our private Facebook group, "Raise the Barre Dance Families."
DRESS CODE: Students must follow the studio dress code for safety and uniformity. Dress code details are available at www.RaiseTheBarreDanceAcademy.com under the Dress Code tab.
PARENT WATCH POLICY: To minimize distractions, parents may not enter the dance room during class. Students will be welcomed and dismissed by the instructor. Monitors are set up in the lobby for comfortable viewing into the dance rooms.
RESTROOM POLICY: Students must use the restroom before class. Raise the Barre Dance Academy staff cannot escort students to the restroom. Parents must remain available if assistance is needed.
LOBBY ETIQUETTE: Please help keep our lobby safe and welcoming. Children and siblings must be supervised and clean up after themselves. Raise the Barre Dance Academy is a family-friendly studio; please be mindful of conversations, language, and behavior, as young ears are always listening.
BEHAVIOR POLICY: Our goal is to partner with families to address behavior and maintain a safe, positive environment for everyone.
Behavior Protocol Process:
Communicate: Concerns are shared with the parent/guardian.
Support: Management works with the instructor and family to improve the classroom experience.
Adjust: If needed, we may suggest a different class day/time or instructor, or pause enrollment.
Immediate dismissal may occur for serious unsafe behaviors, including biting, repeated hitting, spitting, or intentional property damage/destruction. If you or your child is experiencing unsafe behavior, please reach out to the office staff immediately.
INJURIES & INSURANCE: Participation is at your own risk. Families are responsible for maintaining medical insurance and release Raise the Barre Dance Academy, LLC from liability for injuries occurring on studio property.
RECITALS & PERFORMANCES: Raise the Barre Dance Academy offers a minimum of two performance opportunities each season: a Winter Showcase held during the final week of classes before Winter Break and a Spring Recital held at the end of the season. Dates, details, and fees will be communicated to actively enrolled families. Spring Recital participation is optional and requires additional fees.
COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES: Performance opportunities are offered as available and participation is determined by Raise the Barre Dance Academy staff. We will reach out to families directly for any additional performance opportunities.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Please respect the privacy of other families when posting photos. We encourage families to contact us directly with questions or concerns.
