RAISE THE BARRE DANCE ACADEMY GENERAL LIABILITY WAIVER
Please read the following carefully. By accepting this waiver, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions outlined. Acceptance is required to proceed with registration. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to completing your registration.
REGISTRATION: Students must meet the age requirement for their class age group by September 1st. If a student may need to move to a different age group, the instructor or owner will evaluate and decide, with a preference to promote rather than demote if the student isn’t ready.
REGISTRATION FEE: A non-refundable registration fee of $35 per student and $20 per each additional sibling will be collected at the time of registration to secure class space. Class registration will not be considered complete without payment of the registration fee and first month’s tuition.
TUITION: Monthly tuition is calculated based on the total number of weeks in each session and is evenly prorated across the months within that session, regardless of how many weeks fall in a given month. Tuition is due by the 20th of the preceding month and is non-refundable. All scheduled breaks, studio closures, meetings, and themed classes are accounted for in the tuition structure.
AUTO-PAY: All accounts must have a valid card on file for auto-pay, which runs on the 20th of each month or the next business day. A $25 fee applies to failed drafts. To opt out of auto-pay, an official opt-out form must be completed.
LATE FEE POLICY: A $25 fee applies to payments made after the 20th, returned checks, and failed auto-pay drafts. Accounts must remain in good standing for students to attend classes or perform. Balances over 30 days past due will pause class and performance participation. If you need assistance or an extension, please reach out.
REFUND AND CREDIT POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable. However, account credits may be issued in certain situations and can be applied to future sessions. Missed classes may be made up in another age-appropriate class within the same session, subject to availability.
TRIAL CLASSES: New students, or current students wishing to add a class, may take one complimentary trial class. Upon enrollment, the full month’s tuition is required, regardless of when the student begins. Any missed classes may be made up in another age-appropriate class within the same session, subject to availability.
ABSENCES: To get the most out of each session, students are expected to attend class regularly. However, we understand there are situations where a child must miss class. In this event, we ask that you reach out to Raise the Barre Dance Academy prior to class so our instructors can plan accordingly. No refunds will be available for missed classes.
MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY: Students may take up to two make-up classes per session in a class of the same age group or level. Before arriving to a make-up class, please contact Raise the Barre Dance Academy with your preferred day and time so instructors can plan accordingly. Make-up classes are not permitted once recital routines begin to ensure consistency in choreography.
STUDIO CLOSINGS: Raise the Barre Dance Academy follows Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, ISD for Fall, Winter, and Spring Break as well as inclement weather. Raise the Barre Dance Academy does not close for teacher in-service/work days or bank holidays.
BAD WEATHER POLICY: In the event that bad weather deems holding class unsafe for our students and their families, Raise the Barre Dance Academy will contact the affected classes via email, text, and/or on social media. No refunds will be available for weather-related cancellations.
COMMUNICATION: We communicate with enrolled students through handouts, flyers, newsletters, email, and our private Facebook group. To join the group, search “Raise the Barre Dance Families” on Facebook and request access.
DRESS CODE: To promote safety, uniformity, and team spirit, a weekly dress code is required. Dress code is assigned by level and age group. Please note that girls must wear tan tap shoes, tan jazz shoes, and pink ballet shoes. More information can be found online at www.RaiseTheBarreDanceAcademy.com.
PARENT WATCH POLICY: To eliminate distractions, interruptions, and separation anxiety, parents will not be allowed inside the dance room during class time. Students and their caregivers must wait in the lobby prior to class time. The instructor will welcome students to class together as a group and will dismiss the students individually at the end of class.
RESTROOM POLICY: All students are required to use the restroom before class begins, even if they have already gone at home. Interruptions during class cause delays and reduce valuable learning time. Raise the Barre Dance Academy staff cannot escort students to the restroom. If you choose not to take your child beforehand, you must remain on campus to assist them as needed. Please note: we cannot guarantee staff will be available to contact you if your student needs a restroom break during class.
LOBBY ETIQUETTE: The lobby at Raise the Barre Dance Academy is a shared, family-friendly space, and we ask everyone to be respectful and help keep it safe and tidy. Children and siblings must be supervised by their adult at all times, and are responsible for ensuring they clean up after themselves and leave the area presentable for others.
BEHAVIOR POLICY: For the safety and well-being of all students, children are expected to behave in a safe and respectful manner. If a child exhibits behavior that poses a risk to themselves or others, a meeting will be scheduled with the parent/guardian to develop a behavior plan. If the behavior persists and the plan proves ineffective, Raise the Barre Dance Academy reserves the right to dismiss the student from the program without refund.
INJURIES AND INSURANCE: Parents or legal guardians of minors, students, and visitors waive the right to pursue legal action for any injury sustained on studio property during any dance-related or other activities before, during, or after class, and agree to settle any disputes outside of court if necessary. All students must be covered by their family’s insurance policy. In the event of injury, Raise the Barre Dance Academy, LLC, will not be held responsible.
RECITALS AND PERFORMANCES: Each session concludes with a special performance showcasing what students have learned. Session I (September–December) ends with an in-house performance during regular class time. Session II (January–April) closes with the annual spring recital, which requires additional fees for participation and costumes. Recital participation is optional.
COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES: Community performances are not guaranteed and depend on availability. Participation will be determined by the owner and staff based on readiness and suitability. Classes selected to perform will be notified by Raise the Barre Dance Academy via email, text, and/or flyer.
SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY: We appreciate when you share positive experiences about Raise the Barre Dance Academy, as it helps us grow and serve our community better. For questions or concerns, please contact us directly so we can address them promptly. When posting photos on social media, please respect other families’ privacy and avoid sharing images of students without parental permission.

We focus on recreational dance to nurture each child’s growth, confidence, and appreciation for the art. We ask all families to be respectful and mindful to maintain a positive, welcoming community for everyone.
