JB Dance Terms & Conditions
Registration
All participants must be registered and financially up to date to take part in any JB Dance program. JB Dance reserves the right to suspend participation if fees are not current.
Medical Consent
Dance classes involve some risk of personal injury. While JB Dance takes all reasonable care, the studio accepts no responsibility for injury or loss occurring during classes or while students are on or near the studio premises. Parents/guardians must ensure that their child is physically and medically fit to participate in classes.
Personal Risk & Liability
Participation in dance classes and activities carries inherent risks. By enrolling, students and parents/guardians assume all risks associated with attending and using JB Dance facilities. All participants agree to follow class and studio rules and accept responsibility for their behaviour, including any damage caused to studio property.
JB Dance is fully licensed, accredited, and insured. Any unsafe conditions observed should be reported immediately to a staff member.
Emergency Procedures
In the event of a medical emergency, if parents/guardians cannot be contacted, JB Dance staff reserve the right to call an ambulance if deemed necessary.
Photography, Video & Promotion
JB Dance may occasionally record classes, rehearsals, and events (including Mid-Year and End-of-Year Concerts) for promotional purposes, social media, and website use. Videos and photos may also be made available to parents.
Revisions
JB Dance reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Payment Terms & Class Pricing
Class Pricing & Packages:
30-minute classes: $10 per week, $36 per month (afternoon), $41 per month (morning)
45-minute classes: $16 per week, $58 per month (afternoon), $67 per month (morning)
60-minute classes: $20 per week, $72 per month (afternoon), $83 per month (morning)
75-minute classes: $26 per week, $94 per month (afternoon), $108 per month (morning)
90-minute classes: $27 per week, $98 per month (afternoon), $112 per month (morning)
2-hour classes: $33 per week, $120 per month
3-hour classes: $45 per week, $163 per month
4-hour classes: $55 per week, $200 per month
5-hour classes: $65 per week, $236 per month
6-hour classes: $75 per week, $272 per month
7+ hours: $85 per week, $309 per month
Elite & Select Teams (includes competitions):
3-hour classes: $52 per week, 11 installments of $189
4-hour classes: $62 per week, 11 installments of $225
5-hour classes: $72 per week, 11 installments of $261
6-hour classes: $82 per week, 11 installments of $298
7+ hours: $92 per week, 11 installments of $334
Family Discounts: 10% off first sibling, 20% off second and subsequent siblings (applies to dance fees only; private lessons, costumes, and concert bundles excluded).
Service NSW Active & Creative Kids Vouchers: Redeem via email with a photo of the QR code. Processing may take up to 7 days.
Billing & Payments
Classes run for 40 weeks in 2026, split into 11 equal monthly payments via Autopay.
First debit: 5th January 2026, then 1st of each month from 1st February to 1st November 2026.
Mid-month joins or class changes will be charged pro-rata.
Families must enrol in Autopay via DSP Merchant Services.
Non-Autopay families must pay two months upfront before commencing.
Direct debits falling on weekends or public holidays will process on the next business day.
Late fees: $20 if payment not received by the 10th of the month.
Unpaid accounts over 90 days may be referred to collections.
Transaction Fees (DSP Merchant Services):
Bank Accounts: 1% + $0.30 per transaction
Domestic Credit Cards: 1.81% + $0.30 per transaction
International Credit Cards: 2.96% + $0.30 per transaction
Failed payments will be re-attempted; three consecutive failures require full term payment within 7 days.
2026 Term Dates
School-Aged Classes:
Term 1: 2 Feb – 4 Apr (9 weeks)
Term 2: 20 Apr – 4 Jul (11 weeks)
Term 3: 20 Jul – 26 Sep (10 weeks)
Term 4: 12 Oct – 19 Dec (10 weeks)
Jelly Bean & Ready Set Classes: Morning classes continue through school holidays (April, July, October), excluding Christmas.
Public Holidays: No classes Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday & Monday, Anzac Day, King’s Birthday, Labour Day.
Make-Up Classes
Due to different routines per class, make-up lessons are not available for regular classes.
Late Pick-Up Fees
$20 per 15-minute block applies for pick-ups more than 15 minutes late.
Continuity & Cancellation
Students are automatically re-enrolled unless notified by 1 December.
Minimum 4 weeks’ notice required for cancellations. Fees are charged for the notice period.
Costumes & Concert Fees
Jelly Beans & 1–5 yrs: One costume, $50–$100.
Recreational Classes 5+ yrs: $50–$100 per costume.
Dance Club: 2 costumes, $50–$100 each.
Costume invoices billed in two installments (15 May & 15 June).
No refunds after 30 June.
Elite, Select & Performance Teams: $75–$110 per costume; Term 4 hire $40. Invoiced in three installments: 15 Mar, 15 Jun, 15 Sep.
Concert Bundle Fee:
1.5–5 yrs: $65 (stage rehearsal, photos, video download, T-shirt, trophy & awards, program)
5+ yrs: $85 (stage rehearsal, photos, video download, T-shirt, trophy & awards, program)
Select & Elite Teams: $100 (stage rehearsal, photos, video download, T-shirt, trophy & awards, program)
All fees must be paid in full prior to costume collection or concert participation.
Student & Parent Safety Policy
No smoking or vaping within 4 meters of any JB Dance the building.
No alcohol on premises.
All families expected to act respectfully and professionally at all events. Non-compliance may result in removal from the studio.
Payments & Authorisation
Enrolment authorises JB Dance to process payments for:

Agreed extras (costumes, exams, assessments, concert bundles, competitions)
All other fees will be communicated prior to processing.
Compulsory & Optional Activities
Weekly lessons and events are compulsory, unless notified. Families will be given options to opt out via email in advance.
