1. General Waiver & Liability Release
By enrolling in classes at Floorless Dance Studios, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
I understand that dance involves physical activity and that participation carries a risk of injury.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with dance classes, rehearsals, performances, and studio activities.
I release Floorless Dance Studios, its teachers, contractors, and staff from any liability for personal injury, loss, or property damage sustained before, during, or after class.
I agree to follow all instructions for safe participation and understand that failure to do so may result in removal from class for safety reasons.
2. Medical Release
I confirm that my dancer is physically fit to participate in dance activities.
I will inform the studio of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or learning/physical needs that may affect participation.
In the event of an emergency, I authorise Floorless Dance Studios staff to administer first aid and seek medical treatment if necessary.
I accept financial responsibility for any medical care required.
3. Photography, Video & Media Consent
I understand that Floorless Dance Studios may take photos or videos in class, rehearsals, or performances for promotional, educational, and social media purposes.
I consent to my dancer being included in such media without compensation.
If I do not wish for my dancer to appear in photos/videos, I will notify the studio in writing at the time of enrolment.
4. Class Placement Policy
Ages listed in the timetable are guidelines only.
Teachers place dancers according to experience, technique, confidence, and readiness.
The studio reserves the right to move students into a level better suited to their development.
5. Attendance & Commitment
Consistent attendance is essential for progress and choreography.
Excessive absences may result in dancers being removed from sections of choreography or performances.
I understand that for safety and fairness, dancers must attend rehearsals leading up to shows.
6. Costumes & Performance
All classes perform in both the Mid-Year Recital and End-of-Year Show (except adult classes, where performance is optional).
Performance costumes incur an additional fee.
Costumes must be paid in full by the deadline to ensure ordering and delivery on time.
Failure to pay costume fees may result in non-participation.
7. Fees, Payments & Refund Policy
Fees are due by the dates listed in your invoice or registration system.
No refunds or credits are issued for change of mind, missed classes, or withdrawing during a term.
Make-up classes may be offered where possible but are not guaranteed.
Late payments will incur a 20% late fee.
If fees remain unpaid, the studio reserves the right to suspend enrolment until the account is current.
8. Acro Safety Policy
Acro is an adding class and must be taken alongside another dance style.
Acro levels are assigned based on skill readiness for safety reasons.
Parents/students agree not to attempt acro skills at home without teacher instruction.
9. NZAMD Exam Policy (Jazz & Tap)
NZAMD exams are optional.
Exam entry is at teacher discretion and based on technique, attendance, and readiness.
Exam fees are additional and non-refundable once submitted.
Exam classes still participate in both studio shows regardless of exam entry.
10. Withdrawal Policy
To withdraw from a class, written notice must be emailed to the studio.
Withdrawals do not automatically cancel invoices - fees remain payable until written notice is received.
There are no refunds for partial terms or unused classes.
11. Code of Conduct
Dancers and families agree to:
Treat teachers, classmates, and families with kindness and respect.
Keep studio spaces clean and behave responsibly.
Follow teacher instructions promptly.
Maintain positive behaviour at classes, rehearsals, and performances.
Avoid disruptive behaviour or interference with learning.
Failure to follow the code of conduct may result in suspension or removal from the programme.
12. Parent & Supporter Expectations
Parents are not permitted inside the studio rooms during class unless invited.
Communication should be respectful, calm, and directed through official channels.
Concerns should be emailed, not discussed during teaching time.
13. Pricing structure:
Preschool Class: $100 per term
Junior Classes
• Hiphop Mini: $110 per term
• Jazz Pregrade 2: $110 per term
• Jazz Pregrade 3: $110 per term
• Lyrical One: $110 per term
• Hiphop Juniors: $110 per term
All Other Classes
• $130 per term
Family Discounts
A multi-student discount of $10 per child applies for families with more than one dancer (up to and including 6 dancers).
Multi-Class Discounts (per student)
• Enrolled in 2 classes: $20 discount
• Enrolled in 3 classes: $30 discount
• Enrolled in 4 classes: $40 discount
• Enrolled in 5 classes: $50 discount
The maximum multi-class discount per student is $50 per term.
Discount Application and Invoicing
All discounts are automatically applied to accounts.
Discounts may not always be shown explicitly on the invoice total.

14. Agreement
By submitting my registration, I confirm that I:
✔ Have read and understood all policies and waivers
✔ Agree to comply with Floorless Dance Studios terms
✔ Understand that this agreement covers the entire 2026 dance year
✔ Am responsible for all fees relating to my dancer’s enrolment
