Students are able to attend any age appropriate class for free before securing their spot. Please register for a trial if you are not sure about commiting to a class and choose the Monday February 9th trial date. Alternatively, if you register fully for a class and then change your mind after the trial week you can drop out of the class and fees will be waived. If you have any questions please reach out.

Our Preschool Ballet class is a gentle, imaginative introduction to dance, designed especially for children aged 3–4 years. Classes focus on developing coordination, balance, posture, and musicality through age-appropriate ballet movement, creative play, and storytelling.

Dancers will explore basic ballet positions and steps while building confidence, listening skills, and classroom independence in a fun, nurturing environment. Each class encourages self-expression and joy of movement, helping young dancers develop a love of dance while laying strong foundations for future training.

No prior experience is required.

Jazz Elementary challenges dancers with advanced technical expectations including complex turning sequences, high extensions, advanced leaps, directional changes, and expressive artistry. This level demands strong discipline, control, and emotional delivery in choreography.
NZAMD exam optional. All dancers perform in both shows. Placement is strictly ability-based.

Tap Adults offers rhythm training, coordination, and expressive tapping in a friendly, supportive class. Beginner and intermediate tappers will be catered for in a supportive environment.
Adult dancers may opt in or out of performing in the shows.

Exams around September. Performs in both shows. Ages flexible based on technique.

Entry Guidelines:

✔ Clean single turns and progress toward doubles
✔ Strong centre control
✔ Good flexibility in legs and back
✔ Ability to retain and apply corrections

The class blends lyrical flow with jazz foundations, focusing on musicality, coordination, technique, and choreography that feels good to move in. Whether you're returning to dance or trying it for the first time, this class creates a supportive environment to explore movement at your own pace.
Adults may choose whether they perform in the mid-year recital and end-of-year show - participation is completely optional.

Lyrical Level 1 (Ages 5+) Beginner
Lyrical 1 is the perfect introduction to expressive dance. Dancers learn simple turns, soft travelling steps, balances, and flowing combinations while exploring how to use emotion and storytelling through movement. The class focuses on musicality, coordination, confidence, and creative expression in an age-appropriate and supportive environment.
All lyrical classes perform in both the mid-year recital and end-of-year show. Ages are a guideline only - dancers are placed by readiness, confidence, and experience.

Entry Guidelines - Best suited for dancers who:

✔ Can follow simple instructions and choreography
✔ Show basic coordination and musical timing
✔ Can balance and move with gentle control
✔ Enjoy expressive movement and imaginative tasks
✔ (Recommended) Take another style such as Jazz to support technique development

Dancers strengthen posture, alignment, rhythm, and confidence while learning to express style and performance energy. This level builds a solid technical foundation for all future jazz grades.
Exams are optional and usually held around September. All dancers perform in both the mid-year recital and end-of-year show. Ages are a guideline only - dancers are placed by ability and readiness.

Entry Guidelines - Best suited for dancers who:

✔ Have begun developing basic jazz posture and coordination
✔ Can follow structured choreography with focus
✔ Can execute simple kicks, stretches, and turns with growing control
✔ Show developing musical timing and body awareness
✔ Are ready for consistent technique training
✔ (Recommended) Have completed or are ready to progress from Pregrade 2/3

Jazz Grade 3 marks a key progression into more mature jazz technique. They develop musicality, control, alignment, and performance confidence while learning longer and more complex combinations. This level prepares dancers for Grade 4 by refining technique and building stamina and style.
NZAMD exams are optional and usually held around September. All dancers perform in both the mid-year recital and end-of-year show.

Ages are a guideline only. Note: placement is based on experience, readiness, and technique.

Our Preschool Funk class is a high-energy, fun-filled introduction to dance for children aged 3–4 years. Using upbeat music and simple, age-appropriate movements, dancers develop coordination, rhythm, and body awareness while having a great time.

Classes focus on learning basic funk and hip-hop inspired steps through games, creative movement, and imaginative play. This class supports confidence, musicality, and social skills in a positive, encouraging environment, while helping little dancers burn energy and express themselves freely.

No previous dance experience is needed.

NZAMD exams are optional and usually held around September. All dancers perform in both the mid-year recital and end-of-year show. Ages are a guideline only - placement is based on technique, experience, and readiness.

✔ Show consistent basic jazz technique and posture
✔ Can perform clean single turns (or are close to achieving them)

Dancers learn foundational grooves, rhythm, isolations, footwork, and accessible choreography in a pressure-free and encouraging environment. The focus is on enjoyment, confidence, fitness, expression, and connecting with others while exploring hip hop movement.
Adults may choose whether they perform in the mid-year recital and end-of-year show - participation is completely optional.

Entry Guidelines / Best suited for:

✔ Adults with any level of experience - no dance background required
✔ Those wanting a fun, social class with supportive vibes
✔ Anyone looking to build confidence, coordination, and rhythm
