NEW TERMS & CONDITIONS 2024 - MUST READ
All classes taught are determined by enrollment. Classes may be added upon request and class size. Private lessons are also available.
Payments are due the 1st of each month, regardless if you are out of town or your child is sick. Late fees will be charged 15 days after the first day of the month. If the payment is not made by then, an added late fee will occur every 15 days after that. Checks that bounce will receive a $20 fee.
Registration fee is $20 per child or $50 per family and is due at time of registration. If a child takes 3 or more classes, first 2 classes are full price and the 3rd class is half off. Special rates are available for qualifying families: oldest two children are regular price for tuition for all classes, third child is 25% off tuition, and each child after them receives half off tuition. Payments can be paid with check, cash, or online. Registration fee and first months tuition is due at time of registration. If you decide to pay online, a small percentage will be charged as a convenience fee to the secured third party.
Costume fees will be due by posted due date. Late fees will apply if left unpaid. After November 1st, fees are no longer refundable. Costume fees will appear for each class after registering. Any child registering after November 1st may have an added small charge to costume fees for shipping. If a child registers closer to the end of the year show in May, we cannot guarantee a costume in stock and/or a place in the performance. If costume fees are paid after November 1st, there will be a late charge, and a costume is not guaranteed for your dancer/gymnast. No costume = no performance.
Important dates, notes, and reminders will be posted on the bulletin board in the lobby. Email, Facebook, phone calls, and your Dance Studio Pro parental portal is the primary form of communication used by The Kirk Academy. It is imperative that parents regularly check their email, The Kirk Academy of Dance & Gymnastics Facebook Page, or Parent Portal on Dance Studio Pro to stay informed of any changes, updates, and notices. Please check weekly before class when weather is bad and when rehearsals start in the spring.
If your child misses a class and would like a make-up lesson, please feel free to attend another similar class the week before or after class is missed. Please limit make up classes to once per month. When your child comes to the make-up class, please be sure to have the child let the teacher know they are there for a make-up lesson. We do not prorate or refund for missed classes. Frequently missing class is not only difficult for the child, but also for the teacher and other members of the class. We will also not accept make up classes for certain students if this becomes a common occurrence.
Please do not drop off younger children by the door. Preschool age children need to be walked in and out of class. Children should stay in the building until parents arrive. Please bring and pick up your child on time. We are not responsible for watching your children between class times, we are only responsible for them during their class time.
Your child may appear in pictures or videos on our Facebook page, Instagram, and/or website. However, no names or information will be displayed. By signing below, I approve the use of my child's picture and/or appearance in the videos. Please let us know if this will be an issue.
No jewelry including dangling earrings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, or bulky rings. Classes are to be professional in nature, which includes respect for the teacher and classmates by being attentive, not talking during instruction times or while classmates are practicing/performing.

We try to make The Kirk Academy a clean and comfortable place for you to enjoy while waiting for your children. Please help us by supervising and picking up after your children. Help us keep things tidy by leaving things how you found them. Please do not let children run on stairs, climb on railings, jump on/off chairs/tables, or yell loudly. Not only are these things unsafe, they are a distraction for those in class. Children need to be monitored at all times. We are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur.
I authorize the staff of The Kirk Academy to act for me in any emergency requiring medical attention. I understand that I am responsible for all hospital and doctor fees. My child is physically fit to participate in vigorous physical activity. I further understand that The Kirk Academy and anyone associated with The Kirk Academy will not be held responsible for any accident or illness. Safety is stressed. These are sports with risk. Children participating do so at their own risk. Students not obeying the rules will be first asked to sit out and then possibly asked to leave.
By agreeing below, I have read, understand and agree to the expectations for my child(ren) and I listed above.
