NYE DANCE PRODUCTIONS
SEASON 8 DANCER & FAMILY AGREEMENT, POLICIES & WAIVER

September 2026 – June 2027

By enrolling myself and/or my child (“Dancer”) at Nye Dance Productions (“NDP”), I acknowledge that I have received, reviewed, understand, and agree to follow the policies and expectations of Nye Dance Productions for Season 8.

1. ENROLLMENT & REGISTRATION AGREEMENT
I understand that registration through my NDP account commits my dancer to the registered class(es) through the end of the season unless I complete the required Class Cancellation process.

I understand that the annual registration fee is non-refundable and that the registration fee and first month’s tuition are required to reserve my dancer’s place in class.

I understand that all dancers must have an active Dance Studio Pro (DSP) Parent Portal account, which is used for schedules, documents, music files, payments, and other studio information.

2. TUITION & PAYMENT AGREEMENT
I understand and agree that:

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.
Payments received after the 10th are subject to a $15 late fee.
Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee.
Accounts are enrolled in autopay unless removed by the front desk.
Card processing fees may apply.
Unpaid accounts may result in a dancer being required to sit out of class.
All required fees must be paid before costumes are distributed or a dancer is permitted to perform.
Tuition, deposits, and costume fees are non-refundable except where specifically stated by NDP policy.

I understand that it is my responsibility to keep my account current throughout the season.

3. CLASS CANCELLATION & WITHDRAWAL
I understand that stopping attendance does not automatically cancel enrollment.

To withdraw from a class, written notice must be submitted in person before the 1st of the month in which I wish to cancel.

For withdrawals occurring October–December or February–June, I understand that a $15 drop fee plus that month's tuition applies. September and January are considered trial months and do not have a drop fee.

I understand that tuition, deposits, and costume fees are non-refundable.

4. ATTENDANCE & MAKEUP CLASSES
Consistent attendance is important to my dancer's progress and to the safety and organization of NDP.

I understand that:

NDP may email when my dancer is absent to maintain awareness of who is in the building.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to call or email when a dancer will be absent.
Missing three consecutive weeks without notice may result in removal from the class.
Missed classes may be made up within the same calendar month when an appropriate class is available; makeup classes are not guaranteed.
Makeup classes are non-transferable.

5. CLASS PLACEMENT
I understand that class placement is determined by NDP based on factors including the dancer's age and ability.

I understand that dancers may remain in the same level for multiple seasons as they continue developing the skills required for advancement.

6. PARENT VIEWING & STUDIO PRIVACY
I understand that parents/guardians are not permitted inside classes except for designated Itty Bitty caregiver classes.

Classes may be viewed through the Spot TV app. I understand that screen recording is not permitted.

I also understand that the lobby serves as a dancer break space and agree to respect the privacy of dancers and families using the studio.

7. DRESS CODE & REQUIRED SHOES
I agree to follow the dress code established for my dancer's registered class(es).

I understand that appropriate dance shoes and attire are required for safety, consistency, and proper instruction.

Required dress-code shoes for Itty Bitty, Petite, and Recreational classes must be purchased through NDP except for specifically identified shoes that NDP directs families to purchase elsewhere.

Dancers may continue wearing shoes from the previous season when they still fit and are in good condition; however, dancers must have the correct NDP dress-code shoes by the June recital.

8. RECITAL & RECITAL PACKAGE
I understand that participating dancers may have recital-related fees and requirements.

The Season 8 Annual Recital Bundle may include costume(s), tights, garment bag, makeup kit, recital packet, commemorative pin, professional video USB, recital T-shirt, finale rehearsal, and class photos, as applicable to the dancer's program.

I understand that recital tickets are separate and will be purchased through the Valentine Theatre.

Season 8 recital activities are scheduled for the weekend of June 4–5, 2027, with additional recital information provided during the season.

9. WEATHER & STUDIO CLOSURES
I understand that weather-related studio closures will be announced by approximately 3:00 PM.

The first weather cancellation does not receive a makeup class. If additional weather cancellations occur, NDP may schedule makeup opportunities.

10. INJURY POLICY
I understand that dancers with injuries may be required to provide documentation from a medical professional.

Written medical documentation is required when requesting that NDP hold a dancer's class placement without billing due to injury, and written medical clearance is required before returning to class when applicable.

11. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & LIABILITY WAIVER
I understand that dance, tumbling, acrobatics, rehearsals, performances, conditioning, and other physical activities involve inherent risks of injury.

I voluntarily authorize my dancer to participate in activities offered by Nye Dance Productions and acknowledge that participation may involve risks including, but not limited to, falls, collisions, strains, sprains, and other physical injuries.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I knowingly assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with participation and agree not to hold Nye Dance Productions, its owners, instructors, employees, assistants, contractors, or representatives responsible for injuries or damages arising from the ordinary and inherent risks of participation.

I understand that this waiver does not waive rights or claims that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

In the event of an emergency, I authorize NDP staff to contact emergency medical services when reasonably necessary. I understand that I am responsible for medical expenses incurred on behalf of my dancer.

12. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
I understand that dancers and families are responsible for their personal belongings and that NDP is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

13. NDP NAME, LOGO & BRANDING
I acknowledge that the Nye Dance Productions name, NDP name, logo, colors, and branding are the property of Nye Dance Productions.

I agree not to copy, recreate, alter, print, sell, order, or use NDP branding on apparel, merchandise, or other products without permission from Nye Dance Productions.

NDP-branded merchandise must be purchased through or approved by Nye Dance Productions.

14. PRIVATE LESSONS & STUDIO RENTALS
When booking private lessons, I understand that my account must be current and the private lesson must be paid in full.

Private lesson cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance receive a 50% credit; cancellations made less than two hours in advance receive no refund.

Studio rentals must be scheduled in advance through the NDP front desk or studio email.

15. STUDIO CONDUCT & POLICY COMPLIANCE
I agree to comply with the policies communicated through NDP, Dance Studio Pro, the NDP website, official studio communications, and the Season 8 Dancer & Family Packet.

I understand that failure to follow studio policies or conduct expectations may result in dismissal from Nye Dance Productions.

PARENT/GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By signing below, I acknowledge that:

I have read and understand the Nye Dance Productions Season 8 Dancer & Family Agreement, Policies & Waiver. I understand that it is my responsibility to review studio policies and communications throughout the season. I agree to the financial, attendance, dress code, recital, safety, conduct, and other policies outlined above and in the Season 8 Dancer & Family Packet.
