Advanced Beginners (Mon 4pm)
Advanced Beginners is for gymnasts who have mastered the basics of gymnastics. Your gymnast will build more advanced vaulting skills (circle lift, heel drives, handstand timbers) floor skills (front limbers, round off rebounds, bridge back, kick overs), balance beam events (cartwheels on low beam, 1/2 toe turns, round off dismounts), and uneven bars basics (pullover, back hip circle, tap swings). This class prepares your child to enter our intermediates class with mastery and consistency in gymnastics. Core body strength and conditioning will be used.

Level 1 Monkeys: This class is designed for preschoolers learning fine and gross motor development, gymnastics skills, and learning to use their little bodies independently with self-control/awareness. They will learn vaulting skills onto little blue blocks while running and hitting the board correctly. Balance beams walks, kicks and tuck dismounts. Floor skills including front and back rolls, foundation of cartwheels, and jumps. Bars will work on glide swings and holding in front support. Games, obstacle courses and fun stations will be used to engage and keep up with these little bodies full of energy! Ages 3-4yrs

Gymnasts continue to learn fine and gross motor development, gymnastics skills, and learning to use their little bodies independently with self-control/awareness. Balance and self body CORE awareness is built and advanced upon. They will learn vaulting skills onto little blue blocks while running and hitting the board correctly. Crossing mid-line hitting board with two feet, with different jumps. Balance beams walks, kicks and tuck dismounts, with little or no support. Floor skills including front and back rolls, beginning cartwheels, and jumps. Floor events focus on remembering correct placement to beginning to build from existing skills. Bars will work on glide swings, and holding in front support, and front rolls. Different balance, strength, and conditioning games will be used to engage and keep up with these little bodies full of energy! Rotating stations will be key to the overall success for preschoolers attention spans and keeping them engaged. ALGC is here to help your gymnast grow, learn and advance in a fun and exciting environment! Ages 3-5yrs

Obstacles change every few weeks as well as courses to give the ninjas different thinking patterns and how they will approach their run! If your child enjoys the program, there is a competition route that ninjas participate in and compete with other clubs in the Midwest!

Level 2 Penguins: This class is designed for preschoolers that have graduated from Monkeys Level 1 class or have participated in group lead classes and stays with the pack. Gymnasts continue to learn fine and gross motor development, gymnastics skills, and learning to use their little bodies independently with self-control/awareness. Balance and self body CORE awareness is built and advanced upon. They will learn vaulting skills onto little blue blocks while running and hitting the board correctly. Crossing mid-line hitting board with two feet, with different jumps. Balance beams walks, kicks and tuck dismounts, with little or no support. Floor skills including front and back rolls, beginning cartwheels, and jumps. Floor events focus on remembering correct placement to beginning to build from existing skills. Bars will work on glide swings, and holding in front support, and front rolls. Different balance, strength, and conditioning games will be used to engage and keep up with these little bodies full of energy! We provide games and social development skills with a parent participating. This class is intended for walkers to 3 years old. If you have a child that is shy and older than 3 years old, this class is also available to any age child, as it builds trust/friendships with coaches with a parent present. This is a great class to spend time with your little and cheer them on!

Cheerleaders perform at numerous sporting events such as football and basketball for Albert Lea, Glenville, and Alden. Sideline cheering is a memory held not just for our youth cheerleaders with the lights, music, action and sound, but it also draws our community together for parents to enjoy! Other events such as showcases are also entertaining for these girls!
Options are available for competition cheerleaders as well! We compete in the MCCA State Championships in late January/early February. Cheerleaders can do both sideline cheer and competition cheer if they love the sport of cheerleading! More information will be available for families soon!
