Club-Style Partner Dance Class

Join us for a dynamic group class that explores the most iconic and enduring partner dances found in clubs around the world. These styles have thrived from their roots in native communities to international dance floors, gaining passionate followings much like musical fanbases.

Hustle (New York Hustle)
Originating in 1970s America, the Hustle is a fast-paced, powerful dance often performed to both vintage disco hits and modern club tracks. Though it began with a six-count pattern, the current form uses a three-count basic enriched with extended moves and syncopations, making it both flashy and energetic.

Salsa
Evolving from Mambo and other Latin influences, Salsa is a vibrant, flirtatious dance known for its lively music and sociable nature. You don’t need a regular partner—Salsa culture encourages dancing with new people, making it a welcoming and fun experience. It’s no wonder Salsa has become a global phenomenon, with clubs found in cities all over the world.

Swing
Rooted in the jazz music of the swing era, this dance style includes variations like East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Shag. The term “jitterbug” became popular thanks to Cab Calloway, who likened dancers’ energetic movements to a swarm of bugs. Swing dancing is joyful, improvisational, and full of bounce, making it a perennial favorite.

Argentine Tango
Born in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentine Tango is a passionate, improvisational partner dance that emphasizes deep connection and musical interpretation. Unlike its ballroom counterparts, this style encourages creative freedom and emotional expression between partners.

Bonus Tuesday Ballroom Styles:
Also featuring Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz on Tuesdays.

Dress Code:
Proper attire is required. Ballroom or Latin dance shoes are recommended for safety and performance.
