Toddler, PreSchool, Mini, & Petite levels are placed by age. All dancers wishing to take Junior, Teen, or Senior classes must complete teacher examination. We use each showcase dance to help determine if dancers have mastered their level before placing them in a more advanced and rigorous class.
Summer 2026
Junior Evaluation
Courtney Foshee
Thursday, June 4th at JB Pennington High School
(Choose Dancer's CURRENT Level)
This evaluation is for all dancers who feel they are ready for a more difficult curriculum and/or would like to be considered for dances CDA's elite are taking to competition next season! They will audition with their showcase dances, so practice that and work hard in class.
LEVEL UP: If your dancer is in 5th grade and moving up to 6th grade next school year, this audition will help evaluate her skill level to see if she will thrive in a more advanced and mature class. It is possible to advance early if your dancer meets all expectations and shows maturity, but it is not broadly encouraged to rush through your dance training.
COMPETITION: In addition to level placement, Mrs Courtney will use this audition to help her choose dance groups/trios/duos/solos to take to competitions next season. CDA’s Elite program allows dancers to use their passion to fine tune their dancing and progress through more challenging classes and educational experiences. To become Elite level, dancers must audition and are then required to attend all summer dance camps in their assigned level. They will also be enrolled in Fall-Spring weekly required classes, as well as attend choreography sessions for their competition dance(s) in August. Requirements are specific to each dancer’s level, so please register for the VIRTUAL PARENT MEETING. Participation in CDA’s ELITE can create exceptional dancers who dance in an exceptional dance world!
