All students entering this class will begin the year in Pre-Pointe, where they will build the strength, alignment, and technical precision necessary for safe and successful pointe work. As students demonstrate readiness through ongoing evaluation, they may be invited to begin dancing en pointe and will continue developing foundational skills at the Pointe 1 level.
Pre-Pointe:
Pre-Pointe is designed to prepare students for the physical demands of dancing en pointe. Dancers strengthen their core, ankles, and feet while improving balance and body alignment. For male dancers, this training also supports overall strength and technique.
Requirements:
• Must be concurrently enrolled in an approved ballet technique class.
• Enrollment by teacher placement only.
• This class is intended for minor students only.
Pointe 1:
Students are carefully evaluated before beginning pointe work. This class focuses on safe and proper technique at the barre to develop foundational pointe strength and alignment.
Requirements:
• Open to Intermediate Ballet C and above.
• Must be enrolled in at least 3 ballet technique classes per week.

Ballet Foundations Plus+ • Saturday 11:00am (Teacher Permission)
Ballet Foundations Plus + is designed for students who are ready to begin transitioning into Intermediate-level ballet training but are unable to commit to the full weekday Intermediate Ballet A schedule. This class introduces many of the concepts and techniques taught in Intermediate Ballet A, but at a slower, more flexible pace appropriate for a once-per-week format. Dancers will continue to build on their foundation with increased attention to detail, discipline, and strength, while preparing for eventual full participation in Intermediate-level classes.
Additional Notes:
• Enrollment is by teacher placement.
• Students enrolled in Intermediate A may take this as an extra class with instructor permission but it will not take the place of one of their two regular week-day classes.
• Intended for students who have completed Ballet Foundations and are ready to begin Intermediate A concepts but cannot attend during the week.
•This class meets once per week on Saturday and progresses more gradually than Intermediate Ballet A.

Ballet Foundations | Summer Maintenance Class | 3-week Session
These summer ballet technique classes are offered one evening per week and are a great opportunity for current Surrendered School of Dance students to continue building consistency, strength, and confidence during the summer months in a focused and encouraging environment.
Families may register for one 3-week session or for both summer sessions.
Please note that these are maintenance classes, so the focus will be on reinforcing and retaining what students have already learned rather than introducing significant new material. We recommend that students enroll in the same level they completed during the 2025–2026 school year.
Please note: These maintenance classes are designed primarily for students who have already completed at least one season of ballet training, since the focus is on reinforcing and strengthening previously learned material. New students are still welcome to inquire, but many beginners benefit most from starting during the regular school year, when training progresses step by step from the foundations level.
Each class requires a minimum of 3 students in order to run.

These optional classes are a valuable way for dancers to stay consistent between the end of the school year and the beginning of fall classes. Please note that these are maintenance classes, so the focus will be on reinforcing and retaining what students have already learned rather than introducing significant new material. We recommend that students enroll in the same level they completed during the 2025–2026 school year.
