Have trouble speaking extemporaneously? Hate giving that big presentation at work? Love shows like "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?" This class geared towards adults will teach students how to say "Yes, and," to listen and react, to create memorable characters and build compelling scenes spontaneously, to work well as part of a comedic ensemble, to build confidence in speaking without a script, and to have a lot of laughs. Class time will focus on games, good theatre practices, and short form scene work. Theatrical experience is a plus but definitely not required.

A.C.T. Junior at Summer Workshop 2026 (ages 5-7) is a program designed to introduce youngsters to the arts and explore their creativity! This half day program (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) will involve dance, music, drama, and art. Meets the same three weeks as our Full Program (June 29 - July 10, no classes on July 3). A.C.T. Junior does not perform on our final day, Arts Festival Day, but will have a performance for families on Friday, July 10th.
Tuition for the A.C.T. Junior program at Summer Workshop is $695. The pre-registration deposit of $400 is required to ensure your child's spot in the program. This fee is non-refundable. The remaining balance of $295 will be posted to your online account after pre-registration ends on April 1. Our popular three-week summer arts program is back! At the A.C.T. Summer Workshop, students choose their own schedule from over seventy classes in the performing and visual arts. A diverse selection of classes are offered, including acting, singing, media arts, painting, photography, dance, technical theatre, playwriting, stage combat and culinary arts. Students will
make new friends as they become a part of the vibrant community of an award-winning working theatre.
The Summer Workshop runs Monday through Friday, 3:30 - 8:30 PM from June 22 - 26, and 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM from June 29 to July 10. (No classes on July 3). The final day of the program is "Arts Festival Day" on Saturday, July 11, where students will showcase everything they've worked on during the three weeks. Families and friends are invited to attend!
