Summer Dance Camps 2025
Mini Clogging & Power Tap Ages 5-7
Join our Clogging & Power Tap Class for minis! Designed specifically for students aged 5 to 7, and perfect for energized youngsters who enjoy moving and making music with their feet! This class focuses on developing early dance motor skills, introducing clogging and tap dancing fundamentals, and learning how to count music. Dancers will also have the opportunity to learn a fun combo. This two-day course provides a glimpse into the exciting world of clog dancing and the growing obsession of power tap!

Boys Hip Hop Camp
This two day camp is just for the boys ages 8 + taught by national champion dancers and brothers Eli and Amos Olsen! This is an intro to hip hop focusing on beginner-intermediate movements, isolations and stunts. Dancers will learn new moves and burn off a lot of energy doing one of the most popular forms of dance currently! Please wear comfortable clothing to sweat and move in.
SHOES:
Dancers will need to wear clean sneakers that don't mark up the floors. We will have wipes at each studio entrance. Students are required to wipe down their shoes before putting them on for class. No other shoes are allowed on the dance floors. For students planning on continuing hip hop classes into the fall, we require all students to purchase the Vans Sk8-Hi Black and White high top sneaker. If you already have this shoe, please wipe it down and use it for this class.

Our experienced instructors who are 2024 & 2025 Idaho State Hip Hop champions will teach upbeat dance moves and introduce students to the fundamentals of hip hop. HIP HOP TEAM INTENSIVE
Join our Hip Hop Mini Intensive that is perfect for current team dancers or those looking to join a Ground Control hip hop team. This is required for all hip hop dancers competing for the 2025-2026 dance season. Taught by our 2025 Idaho State Hip Hop Instructors, this class is ideal for dancers with 1-6 years of hip hop experience. Get ready to dive into exciting hip hop routines and techniques, with each class focusing on various combinations ranging from beginner to intermediate levels. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to sweat and move freely! A discounted rate is offered to those taking multiple summer team camps, email Hailey at studiogroundcontrol@gmail.com to have your discounted credit applied.

Dancers immediately gain digital access to AAS videos for the upcoming 2026 competition year. DVDs can also be purchased separately at the dance store for an additional $10 (AOS is trying to do away with this option though, so try to transition to digital files this year just in case).

NOVICE TEAM ALL AROUND SOLO CAMP
Novice Team Camp takes place during our CLOG/POWER TAP TEAM CAMP. Dancers will learn the new all around solos, Line & Show from our amazing National Champion clogging instructors. This class comes with access to the digital files for the All Around Solos 2025-2026 and gives our young competitors a boost toward the new dance season.

PRE-DANCE SEASON TEAM CONDITIONING INTENSIVE
This summer intensive is optional for all current team dancers but highly recommended to help dancers get back into dance shape for the new dance season. This intensive will include dance specific conditioning, injury prevention, stretching, floor work and technique just in time for classes to start back up in September.
