Little Dancers
Little Dancers (Ages 3-7) -This dance class is 30 minutes of Tap and 30 minutes of Ballet. Starting with a fun warm-up with sing along type songs, moving into across the floor with the use of imaginative dance illustrations so that young dancers connect their movement to an action they are familiar with, then creating a "special Tap dance" (i.e., recital dance) that dancers will repetitively review to be performance ready. Once the first 30 minutes of Tap is complete, shoes get changed into Ballet, and the Ballet portion starts. Opening with a "magic circle" for more creative, interactive, and imaginative dance stretches guided by the instructor allowing each dancer to have an opportunity to self-express their creative ideas in the magic circle. Upon "magic circle" being completed across the floor and the building of their "special Ballet dance" begins. Incorporating fun props like teddy bears, hula hoops, parachutes, and more, young dancers are guaranteed to have a blast!
*Required Dancewear: Girls: Pink Leotard Dress, Pink footed tights, pink Ballet shoes, black Tap shoes, hair in a ballet bun. Boys: black t-shirt, black sweats/joggers, black ballet shoes, and black tap shoes, hair nicely combed. Must be purchased at studio.
