Auditions for the 2025 production of The Nutcracker! This timeless holiday classic invites dancers of all levels to step into a world of sugarplums, snowflakes, and seasonal magic. Join us on stage for a treasured community tradition!
✨ Who Can Audition:
Dancers ages [8-19] and up are welcome to audition. Roles will be cast based on technique, artistry, and performance quality. Dancers of all backgrounds and levels are encouraged to attend.
🩰 What to Expect at the Audition:
Auditions will be conducted in a ballet class format, including barre, center work, and across-the-floor combinations. Some dancers may be asked to perform short excerpts from the ballet. Pointe work may be evaluated for advanced dancers.

Leotard, pink tights, ballet slippers (and pointe shoes, if applicable)
Hair secured in a bun

Rehearsal Space: Use of studio space for rehearsal is included. Additional staff costs may be applied if supervision or support is required.
Guest Choreographers: Guest choreographers charge a standard rate to set choreography. Ongoing support (e.g., video feedback, in-person coaching) is not included by default but may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. All additional support fees are determined by the guest choreographer.
Competitions: Participation in competitions is not required. If the dancer chooses to compete, additional fees will apply for registration and related expenses.
Rehearsal Space: Use of studio space for rehearsal is included. Additional staff costs may be applied if supervision or support is required.

A portion of the class is spent doing foot/ankle exercises and stretches on the floor. Students also do strenuous core strengthening exercises. A portion of the time will be spent
at the barre doing repetitious strength-building exercises.
Pre-Pointe Class is required before being considered to dance en pointe. The student will need to take a minimum of one year of Pre-Pointe before being considered for advancement to
Pointe class.
