- Please remember all soloists have a shared rehearsal time in the fall,(with the exception of the HDA Babies) unless you request and adjust payment for a private rehearsal , or your rehearsal buddy withdrawals from their solo. Due to lack of attendees at our solo recital - solos will NOT be featured in the recitals as it is not cost effective or fun to dance in front of a tiny audience and we just didn't have family support this year to continue to feature Solos.

Spend the week taking master classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, Technique, Modern, and Hip Hop. Hudson Dance Academy guest artists will be announced soon! Our fabulous faculty will also be teaching during the exciting week filled with technique and classes. We have different levels from beginner, intermediate, to advance level rooms with convention style classes.
This is required for all our SZN 24 competition line members.
Competitive Dancers will spend the week taking classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern, and contemporary.
Warm up exercises to facilitate increased flexibility, strength & agility.
Students will learn various progressions across the floor and multiple combinations intended to improve their technical skill level.
Dancers will focus on jumps, kicks, leaps and turns in an effort to elevate each individual dancer’s technical skill level.
Utilizing rhythmic exercises and combinations, dancers will work to refine and develop a wider tap vocabulary and base. The genre of TAP is reliant upon a foundation of building blocks. You must first master A to progress to B, C, D etc. A strong understanding in tap is instrumental in teaching dancers how to hear and count music which translates to their lyrical and contemporary movement quality and style.
Intensive is required for all incoming 2025-26 Dancers
We will also take time for our annual team photoshoot and HDA traditions like our new summer sleepover (dancers 5-7 - TBA if they sleepover)
Schedule - TBA
Dancers will do team building and bonding with special theme days and activities.
