With entry by audition, this competition contemporary class is for highly talented children who will represent our school in competitions and community performances. Children must display strong dance technique acquired through ballet training alongside other styles, and excellent stage presence. We are willing to take children on potential with the expectation that they will work hard to reach performance standard. Students must also attend both ballet classes for their age group and complete the relevant exam. It is preferred that they make use of the Elite Performer package, with payment capped at 4 classes per week, enjoying unlimited attendance to all classes on offer. Included in this package is the exam fee, trophy and full report.
Students will need to pay for entry fees for 2 or more competitions during the year at about $30 each.
Please bring black leggings from home to add to our set ballet uniform. Students also need to purchase our uniform contemporary footwear at $15 per pair. It is recommended that students bring a filming device to class to record material for home practice.
