Elite Programs 25/26
Level 1/2 Choreography
The Competitive Choreography program is designed to give dancers a well-rounded education and a foundation for success in their futures. The choreography classes include performance opportunities at our Winter Fundraiser, Spring Choreography Showcase, Year End Show and a minimum of four Lower Mainland competitions in the spring. Additional competitions may be added if the entire group wishes/agrees to attend and is at the discretion of the competitive choreography program director.
In addition to their Choreography class, all competitive students are required to take the corresponding tap technique and movement/performance training dance classes. Tap technique classes help dancers maintain and learn the tap steps, rhythms, musicality and necessary information to execute their tap choreography. The movement/performance training classes are aimed to enhance the dancer's overall fitness, flexibility, performance, and exposure to movement outside of tap technique to become well rounded dancers.
All students in the competition program will be required to sign the choreography competition contract on the first week of classes which outlines the student and program expectations.

Dancers will take the 60 min drop-in class (this is considered your warm-up and technique class) followed by the 30 minute choreography class. The choreography class will lead dancers to learn material at a progressive pace. This allows dancers a chance to learn steadily, and with like minded other adult dancers.
Dancers will perform in our Winter Showcase and Year End Show.
