The faculty recommends 1 year of previous dance experience as a prerequisite.

Ages 5-7 Beginning Ballet is a 60-minute class that meets weekly on Tuesdays from 4:15-5:15. Beginning Ballet Technique is taught, as well as the development of coordination. No previous dance experience is required. Required attire for girls is a pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes; for boys, black shorts or tights, a white fitted t-shirt, and black ballet shoes.

Candidates for company positions must be 9 years old at the time of audition or have completed the 3rd grade with two years of ballet. The dress code for the audition class is a black leotard, pink tights, and ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face in a nice bun for girls. Boys are to wear black tights or shorts, white t-shirt and ballet shoes.
The 2025-2026 WAB II performing season includes the 40th Annual production of The Nutcracker, a fall performance, Spring Ballet, Dance Fusion, and Spring Dance Concert.
Each company member, after acceptance by the adjudication committee, will be required to attend three 90-minute ballet technique classes per week (including one WAB II Company class), pre-pointe or pointe and a modern dance class for their level.

Candidates for company positions must be at least 12 years of age or have completed the 6th grade and have at least three years of ballet experience. Men are to wear black tights, white or black t-shirt and ballet shoes.
The 2025-2026 Western Arkansas Ballet Company’s performing season includes the 40th Annual production of The Nutcracker, a fall performance, Spring Ballet, Dance Fusion, the Regional Dance America/Southwest Festival, and Spring Dance Concert.

This camp is an opportunity for your young dancer to elevate themselves. It will expand their dance knowledge and abilities in Ballet. Each day we will include an extended technique class and a supplementary lesson to help improve all aspects of their dance training. There will be a stage makeup class, hair class, vocabulary lesson, and a fun ballet jeopardy game on the last day. Your dancer will learn different pieces of choreography from our Nutcracker and other Ballets we perform at WAB with a showing on the last day. This camp is a fun way for your dancer to see what is coming next in their dance training.
