NimbusFIT: Open Ballet
Intermediate/Advanced Ballet provides a more challenging environment that builds on knowledge learned in Beginner Ballet. Students are expected to be familiar with classical vocabulary, both at the barre and in the center. This class offers intermediate/advanced movement combinations and exercises that emphasize coordination, balance, and strength. Intermediate/Advanced Ballet is appropriate for dancers with ballet experience.

Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive SESSION 1 (June 29th - July 3rd)
Session 1 welcomes intermediate dancers to an exciting, modern-forward 1-week Summer Intensive at the Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City. Led by School of Nimbus Co-Directors Marie Zvosec and Sarah Lane, this dynamic program introduces younger artists to accomplished teachers who provide excellent training in contemporary and modern techniques, while building a strong foundation in classical ballet. Students will expand their movement vocabulary and creative expression as they dive into varied choreography, including repertoire from Nimbus Dance's professional company. Designed to inspire growth and confidence, the Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive features engaging artist talks, injury prevention workshops, and supportive mentorship from experienced professionals—all within an encouraging, vibrant community where every dancer is celebrated and empowered to discover their unique artistic voice.
All Session 1 classes will be held at the Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City.

A week of intensive training on Mount Desert Island, Maine!
Acadia Dance Festival is back with a Summer Intensive July 20 - July 25. This week-long program for dancers aged 14-22 offers a rigorous, creatively engaging week of contemporary dance training.
The Summer Intensive is designed for high-school and college-aged dancers who are looking to expand their training, explore their artistry, and gain experience in a professional dance setting. Classes are taught by experts in the field who have carefully crafted curricula to help young dancers grow technically, artistically, and professionally. The program aims to contribute to the vibrancy of arts education in Downeast Maine by cultivating a new generation of engaged dance artists.
Participants will benefit from a daily schedule of varied dance technique classes, seminars on special topics such as injury prevention, audition skills, and improvisation techniques, and develop a piece of original choreography with company dancers from Nimbus Dance. Summer Intensive students will perform this new work in a live performance on Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th at the 1932 Criterion Theater alongside Nimbus Dance.

Students signed up for Acro II will participate in a placement class on the first day of classes. After the placement class students will be placed in either Acro II or Acro IIA. Each group will work at the appropriate pace for their class, allowing for all Level II Acro students to grow.
