Monday Stretch, Strength & Stability Amy Sellers
This class focuses on basic weight training combined with functional exercises that will help promote overall muscle strength and endurance. Participants will work all major muscle groups using weights and / or bands while proper form is emphasized. Low impact cardiovascular challenges will help improve overall heart fitness. Gentle stretching and core and back exercises will improve flexibility, balance, and posture. This class is designed for all levels, men and women with an emphasis on our 60+ clients.

Monday Intermediate Ballet and Pre-Pointe/Pointe Julia Sykes
Ballet is a classical dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and positions. Ballet is a beneficial way to gain strength, agility, and self-discipline. A typical ballet class consists of barre and centre work to classical piano music.
Pointe is a part of the classical ballet technique allowing the ballet dancer to support all body weight on the tips of the fully extended feet. Extensive training is required to achieve success.
Turning Pointe Dance Studio Faculty believes in a conservative approach when it comes to pointe work. Students are required to enroll in at least two ballet technique classes per week, two pointe classes per week, and one of either Floor Barre, Dance Conditioning, Body Conditioning at Turning Pointe Dance Studio to be considered for pointe. No student will be allowed to go on pointe until they have at least 4 years of serious and adequate classical ballet training. Turning Pointe Dance Studio’s instructors reserve the right to take any student off of pointe for reasons such as insufficient number of ballet classes per week, excessive absences, physical limitations, or lack of motivation. Beginner pointe dancers will not present a pointe dance in our spring performances.

Turning Pointe Dance Studio’s Pre-Professional Program (PPP) is designed for the ballet student that has decided to make dance a part of their future. The program is designed to prepare dancers for a career in dance, whether they choose to dance professionally in a dance company or to participate in dance at the University level. Our program provides an intensive ballet training experience for students in pursuit of a professional career. A class training schedule is structured so that PPP students can focus primarily on the goals of becoming a professional dancer with daily morning classes, rehearsals, and private coaching while maintaining academic success. Instructor, Ariana Romano Harris, is trained and certified through Acrobatic Arts and uses their progressional levels to create a safe and fun environment in the Acro Dance class. Levels 1-7 will be used to place students in a class that is safe and challenging where they feel that they can master their progressions in the five divisions of Acro Dance.

Participants will work all major muscle groups using weights and / or bands while proper form is emphasized. Low impact cardiovascular challenges will help improve overall heart fitness. Acro Dance combines the skills and technique of dance and acrobatics to create an athletic, emotional expression. Using safe progressions students will practice limbering, tumbling, balancing, strength and flexibility and fuse it all together using dance. Instructor, Ariana Romano Harris, is trained and certified through Acrobatic Arts and uses their progressional levels to create a safe and fun environment in the Acro Dance class. Levels 1-7 will be used to place students in a class that is safe and challenging where they feel that they can master their progressions in the five divisions of Acro Dance.

Pointe is a part of the classical ballet technique allowing the ballet dancer to support all body weight on the tips of the fully extended feet. Extensive training is required to achieve success.
Turning Pointe Dance Studio Faculty believes in a conservative approach when it comes to pointe work. Students are required to enroll in at least two ballet technique classes per week, two pointe classes per week, and one of either Floor Barre, Dance Conditioning, Body Conditioning at Turning Pointe Dance Studio to be considered for pointe. No student will be allowed to go on pointe until they have at least 4 years of serious and adequate classical ballet training. Turning Pointe Dance Studio’s instructors reserve the right to take any student off of pointe for reasons such as insufficient number of ballet classes per week, excessive absences, physical limitations, or lack of motivation. Beginner pointe dancers will not present a pointe dance in our spring performances.

Turning Pointe Dance Studio’s Pre-Professional Program (PPP) is designed for the ballet student that has decided to make dance a part of their future. The program is designed to prepare dancers for a career in dance, whether they choose to dance professionally in a dance company or to participate in dance at the University level. Our program provides an intensive ballet training experience for students in pursuit of a professional career. A class training schedule is structured so that PPP students can focus primarily on the goals of becoming a professional dancer with daily morning classes, rehearsals, and private coaching while maintaining academic success. Turning Pointe Dance Studio Faculty believes in a conservative approach when it comes to pointe work. Students are required to enroll in at least two ballet technique classes per week, two pointe classes per week, and one of either Floor Barre, Dance Conditioning, Body Conditioning at Turning Pointe Dance Studio to be considered for pointe. No student will be allowed to go on pointe until they have at least 4 years of serious and adequate classical ballet training. Turning Pointe Dance Studio’s instructors reserve the right to take any student off of pointe for reasons such as insufficient number of ballet classes per week, excessive absences, physical limitations, or lack of motivation. Beginner pointe dancers will not present a pointe dance in our spring performances.

This program is designed for intermediate and advanced level dancers, ages 13 and up, eager to expand their versatility and refine their technique. Expect to dive deep into technique, choreography, improv, conditioning, and video and camera performance! You'll gain valuable insight into the demands of the commercial dance world, learn how to bring your personality into your performance, and develop the skills needed to stand out. Come ready to train hard, take risks, and leave with the confidence to take on the next big opportunity!
Tristan Marshall, originally from Massachusetts, received his Bachelor of the Arts in Dance and a minor in Sports Sciences and Disabilities from Hofstra University. Throughout his time at Hofstra, Tristan received many accolades for his choreography. Since graduating, he has found a love for teaching & working with young students. Tristan strives to create a safe space to learn, grow & challenge each student he works with. He fuses athleticism & technique, with artistry & passion, and loves instilling this in the next generation. He has gotten to share his knowledge with many studios along the East Coast, ranging from workshops & intensives to choreographing competition dances throughout New England. Aside from teaching, he just finished dancing & choreographing for his second show with DanceWorks Boston and is in his fifth season on the competition circuit.

Participants will work all major muscle groups using weights and / or bands while proper form is emphasized. Low impact cardiovascular challenges will help improve overall heart fitness. Gentle stretching and core and back exercises will improve flexibility, balance, and posture. This class is designed for all levels, men and women with an emphasis on our 60+ clients.
