Tap is a type of dance characterized by wearing shoes fitted with metal taps to create sounds when striking the floor in various patterns, tempos, and rhythms. There are many styles of tap dance including rhythm, classical, Broadway, and post-modern. The Dance Centre teaches a well-rounded curriculum no matter if the dancer is a beginner or advanced.

Musical Theater & Tap combines two exciting styles in one class! Our Gymnastics/Acro classes focus on the use of strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic/acro-based tricks such as tumbling, floor gymnastics elements, dance and jumps. Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. It teaches flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. Perfect for up and coming cheerleaders, competitive dance, or children looking to improve agility. Students will develop physical strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, balance, grace, and self confidence with professional instruction for both boys and girls of all ages and ability levels.
