Includes a fun and creative warm-up in following the instructor while introducing more ballet vocabulary in this class. The center floor is used to work on making straight lines and introducing 2 lines to learn about spacing. Students will learn how to use the barre and work on proper posture when demonstrating the ballet technique. Balance and coordination are required for this class. Class always ends with a ballet reverence.

Class requirement: Hair pulled back in a bun with DanzStar leotard and skin tone tights. Ballet skin tone shoes as well.


Our bible study will occur with a scripture and an activity the last week of each month to incorporate our faith foundation and share the love of God with our students. Please encourage your child to memorize the bible verse throughout the month when received at the beginning of the month.

Students will learn proper techniques such as body isolations, improvement of movement quality, and the development of complex rhythms and patterns. The class will cover various jazz styles, including Broadway and Contemporary, to help students become well-developed dancers. The curriculum is based on ballet techniques with traditional jazz movements and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, across-the-floor exercises, progressions, and combinations.

Class Uniform:
Students are required to wear a leotard, skin-colored tights, tan jazz shoes, and jazz shorts. Hair should be neatly pulled back. You can purchase the uniform package at the DanzStar Store.

Contemporary dance blends various styles including Modern Dance, Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical. It emphasizes floor work over leg work and isn't confined by the rules of traditional dance forms. This style involves more improvisation and versatility, making it enjoyable to explore. Try contemporary dance to experience new ways of using movement on the floor to create a contemporary masterpiece.

CLASS UNIFORM:

Hip-hop dance is all about combining breakdancing, popping, and locking – it's a mix of culture and style. If you're into a jazzy vibe, then Jazz Funk is where it's at. You'll learn about muscle memory, timing, musicality, and nailing those choreographed routines.

When it comes to hip-hop, you gotta bring the energy and work those upper and lower body muscles. It's also great for improving your coordination, flexibility, and balance. As you nail those tricky moves, you'll level up in no time. If you want a class that's fun, upbeat, and lets your creativity shine, come join our HIP-HOP crew!

Class Uniform:
Grab a T-shirt and hip-hop sneakers from DanzStar, and wear them with black leggings. Keep your hair neat and out of your face. Don't forget to bring a water bottle!

Exercises incorporate bodyweight training, resistance tools, and functional movement patterns to enhance performance, prevent injury, and increase overall body awareness. Whether you're preparing for the stage or training for aerial work, this class helps develop the physical foundation to move with strength, precision, and confidence.

Our CIA (Christ in Action) Junior Team is designed for dancers who are eager to strengthen their technique, build new skills, and grow in both artistry and faith. Rehearsals will focus on developing proper dance foundations—such as flexibility, strength, coordination, and performance quality—while introducing more challenging combinations to prepare dancers for competition.

As members of the **Junior Competition Category**, dancers will be encouraged to work as a team, demonstrate commitment, and use their God-given talents to glorify Him through dance. Each rehearsal will combine technical training, choreography practice, and spiritual encouragement to help dancers grow not only as performers but also as leaders in their faith community.

Group will meet at the time of this class but Solos will be scheduled at a separate time.

This class is designed with the perfect music and choreography for our Preschool Dance classes. The innovative program is specifically created to introduce young children to the world of dance. Ready Set Dance offers strong support for the play and learning of young children. We have established a partnership with an excellent dance company that identified the gap in the market between preschoolers and older dancers. The program is created by Early Learning Experts and guarantees a fun-filled hour.

Class Uniform:
Girls: Dance dress, wrap sweater, and leg warmers.
Boys: T-shirt and mesh shorts.
Tights and jazz shoes are required for class.
