OMG. We Tap. We Tumble. We Toilet Train!! This 60 min ballet/tap/tumble combo class is a transitional class for your independent but not-so-much independent tiny dancer! We will have fun with props, explore more movement through songs and stories etc. Your dancer will be learning social, listening and motor skills....all while dancing! Parents are encouraged to assist as needed but ideally to foster independence. The children will have gained confidence on their own and be able to follow a structured class setting ALONE! The children do better when they move through this transition together, and I have a method that will work with parent cooperation. In order for this class to be a success, I first and foremost need your 100% cooperation and support! We can do this together!

This class is open for ages 5 1/2- 9 or grades K-3 years with 0-1 years training. Dancers that have completed Creative Dance will find this as their next level of training! This is a LEVEL-appropriate introduction to classical ballet technique with an approach that is fun and engaging for a range of ages. It is 10-15 minutes of floor warm-up, 30 minutes of structured barre-work, and 15 minutes of center and across the floor. Class Placement is based on a combination of age, skill, and maturity and is at the discretion of Miss Catalina and Miss Helena.

This class will focus on jazz technique/terminology, proper body placement/positions. We will expand and hone our kicks, turns, and leaps. Dancers will have a thorough center warm-up, stretch, go across the floor and learn basic combinations. 1 Ballet Technique class with DT is encouraged to go along with this class to enhance progress and prevent injury. This is a mixed level class and dancers are expected to keep up with the pace but steps will also be modified where needed. 6 months - 2 years of Ballet or Jazz is required unless OK'd by Ms. Catalina or Ms. Helena.

Your dancer will be expected to take turns and share which will all be a part of the curriculum. It is a fun and imaginative 60 minutes! Performance Team is for any dancer that wants to show off their dancing skills by performing in community events. The class meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday of each month, only. The fee for this class is a flat rate and does not combine with other classes for the discounted rate/hour dancing.
If there are any behavioral issues that should be of concern to the instructor, please communicate that with the enrollment staff or instructor prior to enrolling to ensure proper class placement and/or offer additional resources (additional fees my be required for 1 on 1).
