Pre-Pointe Information
Pre-Pointe dancers do not necessarily begin the season wearing pointe shoes.
If your dancer participated in Summer Pointe, please check with the summer pointe instructor regarding whether they are ready to begin pointe work this season.
If your dancer did not participate in Summer Pointe, they are welcome and encouraged to enroll in this class and may take the class without dancing en pointe until they are ready.
Pointe Shoe Requirements
Dancers approved to dance en pointe must be professionally fitted for pointe shoes by an experienced pointe shoe fitter.
Pointe shoes should be replaced as needed to ensure they continue to provide the proper support and safety for each dancer.
Instructors reserve the right to require new pointe shoes if a dancer's current pair is no longer safe for use.
