Galaxies: Cheer Skills - ALL LEVELS
Our Cheer Program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a fun, inclusive, performance-based cheer program that focuses on teamwork, skill development, confidence, and community performances in a positive, non-competitive environment. Our Cheer Skills class will work on cheer jumps, chants, basic stunts, pom dance, and cheer dance/technique. This class will also work on some basic tumbling, but it is highly recommended that cheerleaders take one of our acrobatic classes to focus on and improve their tumbling skills. This class, together with our required Galaxies: Cheer Team Class, will prepare students for exciting community performances, parades, festivals, and other events held throughout the season. *Performances usually include: Vibe Dance Center Holiday Show in December, Festival of Trees, Pinellas Park Annual Holiday Night Parade, Florida State Fair (or Strawberry Festival), Seminole Pow Wow Festival, Vibe Dance Center Recital in May or June (date/time TBD), and possibly more! Although we are performance based we may choose one competition (optional) in a season for a positive competitive experience and as an additional performance opportunity. In addition to our regular season performances, we have optional travel performance opportunities and dance/cheer conventions. Here are so me of our exciting past performances and events: Harlem Globetrotters half-time performance, Royal Caribbean performance cruises, Walt Disney World Orlando - Main Street USA/Disney Springs Parade (age dependent) along with additional performance showcase at a location inside Epcot, and several conventions (Glow, The Pulse, Jump, & DanceMakers, Inc.).

Additional rehearsals will be help on select Friday evenings or Saturday morning/afternoons.

This class is for ages 6 & Up or at least one year of our Cheer Basics class.

*Performance events are subject to change due to inclement weather, venue or event changes, or the availability of our team members. We are always looking for events to perform at, so please feel free to offer suggestions!
