Designed for students who have completed introductory Bharatanatyam training and are ready to build greater strength, precision, and confidence. Students expand their adavu vocabulary, araimandi, rhythm, hand gestures, coordination, and movement combinations while beginning to work with more structured choreography.

Classes place greater emphasis on clean technique, stamina, musicality, and performance skills, while continuing to introduce students to Bharatanatyam’s traditions, stories, and expressive elements.

Best for: Ages 7+ with previous Bharatanatyam experience or instructor approval.

Designed for adults with an established Bharatanatyam foundation, this class moves beyond basic technique into more complex adavu combinations, rhythm, stamina, musicality, expression, and repertoire.

Students refine alignment and movement quality while developing the confidence and endurance needed for longer choreographic works. The class balances rigorous classical training with an environment that recognizes the needs of adult dancers returning to or continuing their practice.

Prerequisite: Previous Bharatanatyam training or instructor approval.

Rather than focusing on formal technique alone, the class builds the skills children need for future dance training—including listening, coordination, balance, rhythm, spatial awareness, and confidence.
