This fun and energetic tap class introduces dancers ages 7–9 to basic tap techniques, rhythms, and musicality. Students will build coordination, confidence, and performance skills while learning exciting combinations in a positive and encouraging environment. Dancers must take ballet in order to participate in this class. Dancers should wear a black leotard, pink tights, and tan tap shoes. This class performs in our annual recital.

This contemporary dance class for ages 13 and up blends elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance to encourage creativity, expression, and artistry. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, and technique while exploring movement, musicality, and emotional storytelling in a supportive and inspiring environment. Dancers must take ballet in order to participate. Dancers can wear a black leotard, black or pink tights and bare feet. This class performs in our annual recital.

Spark your child's imagination with our Ballet & Creative Movement class, designed exclusively for preschoolers. This joyful, foundational program introduces little ones to the magic of dance through playful storytelling, basic ballet technique, and rhythm exercises. Dancers must be bathroom independent in order to participate in this class. This class performs in our annual recital. Dancers should wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers and a ballet pink leotard with skirt or tutu attached and their hair in a tidy bun.

This fun Ballet & Tap combo class for ages 5–6 introduces young dancers to the basics of both dance styles in an encouraging and energetic environment. Dancers will build coordination, rhythm, balance, and confidence while learning creative movement, basic ballet technique, and fun tap steps! Dancers should wear pink tights and a black leotard. Dancers should bring pink ballet slippers, tan tap shoes and a water bottle.

Snuggle & Sweat (Baby Wearing): Wednesdays
Move, groove, and bond with your baby in this fun and energizing dance fitness class for moms/dads! Designed for all fitness levels, this class combines easy-to-follow dance moves, light cardio, and strength-building exercises while your little one stays close in a baby carrier. It’s a great way to stay active, connect with other moms/dads, and enjoy special time with your baby. This class does not perform in an end of year recital.

This 30-minute introductory class blends basic ballet fundamentals with playful creative movement. This class fosters gross motor development, coordination, rhythm, and balance through fun, age-appropriate activities. Although this class allows young dancers to experience a class structure independently for the first time, a caregiver must be present for bathroom assistance. This class performs in our annual recital. Dancers should wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers and a "ballet pink" leotard with attached skirt or tutu.

Dancers should wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers and a black leotard.

Designed for experienced dancers, this class focuses on refining classical ballet technique, artistry, strength, and performance quality. Dancers should wear black leotard, pink tights and bring both ballet flats and pointe shoes. This class performs in our annual recital.

Celebrate the joy of movement with your little one! This 30-minute introductory class bonds caregivers and children under 2 through playful music, sensory props, and creative dance. Pre Professional Program
Carefully and intentionally designed to prepare students for a future in dance, the Pre-Professional Program provides advanced training through mentorship, performance opportunities, and immersive experiences. Dancers in the program are held to high standards of technique, musicality, performance quality, and artistry to support their preparation for collegiate dance programs and professional careers in dance. The program also includes travel opportunities for master classes, competitions, and performances, allowing students to broaden their training and industry exposure.

We can't wait to welcome guest teacher Zoe Sheehan-Moore to Shore Performing Arts! Zoe is a BFA Graduate of Point Park University. She was show supervisor and Dance Captain for Azamara Cruises and a dancer on Oceania World Cruise. She has done work for RWS Global and performed at the Hersheypark Music Box Theatre. Zoe is a dance competition adjudicator and on faculty for Deviate Dance. Her recent choreographic credits include musicals such as Legally Blonde, Matilda, and Mean Girls.
