Piano Chord Lab (3rd - 8th Grade)
Piano Chord Lab is an eight-week group piano course designed for students in 3rd through 8th grade who already have basic piano experience and are ready to move beyond simply reading and performing written music. (At least 2 years of piano experience required.)
Students will learn how chords are constructed, how to read chord symbols, and how to use different accompaniment patterns to support a melody. These skills will be applied to familiar songs, lead sheets, and creative group activities.
By the end of the course, students will be able to create a simple piano accompaniment and make independent musical decisions — rather than relying entirely on fully written-out music.
