No prior dance experience is required.
This class participates in the Spring Recital.

Tippy Toes-Tuesday
Tippy Toes is a playful introduction to dance for children ages 4–5, designed to build confidence, coordination, and a love for movement in a nurturing and structured environment.

Dancers will explore basic dance concepts through creative movement, music, and imagination while learning how to follow directions, take turns, and participate in a group setting. Classes focus on developing balance, coordination, rhythm, and body awareness through age-appropriate activities and simple choreography.

This class emphasizes:

Ballet/Modern I is a foundational technique class designed to introduce dancers to both classical ballet and modern dance in a structured and supportive environment.

Dancers then explore modern dance concepts, including expressive movement, floor work, and dynamic use of space. This combination helps dancers build both technical foundation and artistic expression while developing body awareness and control.

Ballet/Modern II is a skill-building technique class for dancers ready to move beyond the basics and develop greater strength, control, and consistency in both ballet and modern dance. (Ages 8-12 recommended)

Classes continue to focus on classical ballet technique while expanding modern movement vocabulary, floor work, and expressive qualities. Dancers are expected to apply foundational skills with increased musicality, coordination, and independence as combinations become more detailed and pacing increases.

This class emphasizes:
-Stronger ballet technique, alignment, and control
-Expanded modern dance movement and floor work
-Strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
-Musicality, expression, and performance quality

Recommended ages: 9–12
Some prior dance experience is recommended but not required.

Dancers will learn basic jazz technique, simple turns and jumps, and introductory jazz movement through upbeat music, creative exercises, and short combinations. Classes emphasize musicality, confidence, and performance skills while helping dancers develop strength, flexibility, and classroom etiquette.

Jazz/Combo I
Jazz/Combo I is a foundational class designed to introduce dancers to jazz technique and a variety of complementary dance styles in a fun, structured, and supportive environment. (Ages 7-9 recommended)

Classes are rooted in basic jazz movement and performance skills, with dancers also exploring age-appropriate elements of hip hop, contemporary/lyrical, musical theater, and introductory acrobatic skills. Emphasis is placed on coordination, rhythm, musicality, and confidence while learning how to move with control and intention.
