If you have ever set foot in our studio, you will understand how immersive this garden camp will be! In keeping with the theme, your dancer will partake in story dances such as the famous “Garden of Flowers” and “Lifecycle of a Butterfly,” They will also do ballet with Mr. Bee, fly indoor kites, and more. They will make daily garden-centric crafts, and learn themed choreography for their Friday show. Ages: 4 - 9.

When you hear “holidays”, the image that first comes to mind is usually snow and Christmas trees. Dancers this week will learn about different holidays beyond the “holiday season” and their meanings. At the Friday show, you may see a 4th of July dance, a Thanksgiving dance, or even a Mother’s Day dance! Ages: 4 - 9.

Week 2B: Nutcracker Ballet (June 8 - 12)
As a dancer, having no knowledge of the Nutcracker ballet is akin to a classical musician never having heard of Beethoven. As a long and vibrant ballet, dancers this week will learn of the story, characters, and music of this famous show. Even though it is famously known as the Nutcracker BALLET, many different variations have appeared over time. Dancers may also learn Nutcracker pieces in styles such as tap, hip hop, and modern. Ages: 6 - 11.

Week 3A: The Greatest Showman (Circus, Int/Adv, June 15 - 19)
Ever wondered what it is like to perform "Under The Big Top"? During this camp, we will dive into the classic circus "Bip Top" style through creative movements, aerial hammock, aerial silks, handbalancing, acro, and learning how to build our "stage" character. This camp has something for everyone, but come ready to work because this will be a non-stop, action-packed camp that will have you stretching your abilities...no pun intended.

If you have ever seen one of our recitals, you will know how Acro combines acrobatics, strength, and intricate choreography. This high-energy camp introduces younger dancers to the exciting world of K-Pop! K-Pop is known for its upbeat music and fun, synchronized choreography, and dancers will learn age-appropriate routines inspired by popular K-Pop performances. Campers will practice basic choreography, musicality, and teamwork while dancing together as a group. Throughout the week, dancers will move, groove, and build confidence while listening to kid-friendly K-Pop artists like BTS and BLACKPINK in a supportive and energetic environment. Ages: 4 - 9.

Set your imagination free at Adventure Camp at Creative Dance Theatre! Dancers will embark on exciting movement-based adventures inspired by treasure hunts, imaginative journeys, and beloved stories such as Carnival of the Animals. Through creative dance, music, and storytelling, campers will explore far-off lands, make-believe worlds, and thrilling quests. Each day includes adventure-themed movement, expressive dance, crafts, and story exploration, giving children the chance to travel, discover, and bring their favorite adventures to life—all in a joyful and nurturing environment. Week 7B: Hip-Hop (July 13 - 17)
At Hip Hop Camp, dancers will dive into the fundamentals of hip hop. Students will learn basic breakdancing skills, freestyle movement, and foundational hip hop techniques while developing confidence and their own personal style. In addition to dancing, campers will explore hip hop culture through age-appropriate art projects, books, and creative activities that introduce the history and core elements of hip hop. This camp encourages self-expression, individuality, and a strong connection between movement, music, and culture. Ages: 5 - 11.

Week 8B: Improv/Contemporary (July 20 - 24)
The art of improvisation is one of self-expression through movement, and in being comfortable in your own skin. Contemporary dance incorporates styles of modern, ballet, and jazz, and often contains elements of improvisation. In this camp, dancers will be taught different phrases and techniques through contemporary that they can then use in their own creations. Ages: 5 - 11.

Young dancers explore movement with parents and peers while enjoying activities and props set to fun music. A great way to introduce young children to dance and social learning, each lesson is repeated twice for the dancers to return to familiar routines. The class as a whole follows the same step-by-step structure throughout the entirety of the session. Because this class is meant for older infants and young toddlers, they are the priority! If you need to take some time to step outside, hold onto a prop for a little longer, calm a frustrated dancer faced with taking turns, it is all welcome here. Ages: 18 months - 3 years old.

Creative Dance
Meant for older toddlers and early preschool years, this class will have some jazz and ballet elements, but will mostly be focused on fun, creative activities designed to get the dancers out of their comfort zone and learn to be confident in dancing in their own skin. This class will repeat a single lesson every two weeks, to encourage memory and anticipation of expected activities. Throughout the entirety of the session, each lesson will follow an overarching, consistent structure. This class is not parent-participation, but still has the security of still having parents nearby in the open-observation studio setting. Ages: 2.5 - 4.

Creative Tap
This class will teach your child the basic fundamentals of tap in a way that is both age and developmentally-appropriate. Classes will run largely on a set structure, with tap shoes coming off towards the end to do both freestyle and teacher-led creative activities. Dancers will learn the basics of rhythm, timing, and how to follow a group, as well as short pieces of choreography that vary month to month. We will stomp like Dinosaurs, drive cars like Bluey, and tippy-toe like mice. It’s a fun time! Ages: 3 - 5.

Creative Ballet/Tap
This class is a combination of the ballet and tap dance styles, both fitted within a 45-minute lesson. Students will experience approximately 20 minutes of each dance form in a way that is both fun and age-appropriate, and end each class with a freestyle or teacher-led activity. Class structure will vary depending on teacher and overall age range of the class, but will still follow a familiar pattern and routine. This is a great class for dancers who want to experience other styles, but who may not be ready for the intensity and focus of a single-style lesson, or have time for multiple classes throughout the week. This class will focus on the rhythm and musicality that is tap, and the grace, posture and balance of ballet. Ages: 4.5 - 6.

Musical Theatre Tap/Jazz
This combo class will feature tap and jazz technique in each class with a special emphasis on storytelling and visual performance. Dancers will learn how to combine dance and acting to gain confidence in their ability to be on stage and entertain an audience while exploring different musicals soundtracks. We recommend this class for musical theater enthusiasts who want to learn more about dance, dancers who enjoy performing, and students interested in or currently in our Team of Performers groups. Ages: 7 - 12.

Ballet I
Ballet I is the youngest single-style ballet class offered. This class explores the structure of classical ballet technique in greater depth than combination classes, with a focus on proper technique, alignment, and coordination. Dancers progress from barre to center work and across-the-floor combinations. Students are introduced to additional French ballet vocabulary and work on foundational ballet movements in greater detail. Dancers in this class are eligible to register for Conditioning for Pointe and may begin progressing toward earning their first pair of pointe shoes. Ages: 10 - 15.

Conditioning For Pointe
Conditioning for Pointe is required for dancers being considered for pointe work, as well as for those enrolled in Beginning Pointe. This ballet-based strength and conditioning class supports healthy pointe work through improved alignment, strength, and flexibility. Class begins on the floor, focusing on foot and core strength, then progresses to the barre and eventually across the floor. Dancers perform simple movements with precision to develop muscle memory for correct alignment, supporting injury prevention and long-term success in pointe work. Ages: 11 - 18.

Beginning Pointe
Beginning Pointe requires concurrent enrollment in both Ballet II and Conditioning for Pointe. This invitation-only class is designed to ensure dancers are physically prepared to perform en pointe safely and successfully. The class focuses on developing the foundational strength, alignment, and technique necessary for pointe work. Instruction is primarily held at the barre and includes foot and ankle strengthening exercises, with gradual progression to center work and turns as dancers demonstrate readiness. Ages: 11 - 18.

Ballet II/III is designed for ballet students who have had at least two consecutive years of ballet training in Ballet I. Ages: 12 - 18.

Int/Adv. Pointe
Dancers invited to join Int./Adv. Pointe have developed the proper strength at the barre in order to perform intermediate level steps properly en Pointe. For dancers to be invited to join the Int/Adv. Pointe class, they must demonstrate a sufficient understanding of alignment and adequate strength in their pointe shoes to avoid injury while dancing without a barre. To be eligible for a pointe promotion to Int/Adv Pointe class, dancers must have three years of ballet experience and be assessed by an instructor. This class will help dancers further their en pointe skills off the barre and perform more complex steps en pointe. Int./Adv. Pointe students must also be enrolled in Ballet II/III. This class will focus on building strength and learning classical en pointe variations.

Creative Ballet/Tap
This class is a combination of the ballet and tap dance styles, both fitted within a 45-minute lesson. Students will experience approximately 20 minutes of each dance form in a way that is both fun and age-appropriate, and end each class with a freestyle or teacher-led activity. Class structure will vary depending on teacher and overall age range of the class, but will still follow a familiar pattern and routine. This is a great class for dancers who want to experience other styles, but who may not be ready for the intensity and focus of a single-style lesson, or have time for multiple classes throughout the week. This class will focus on the rhythm and musicality that is tap, and the grace, posture and balance of ballet. Ages: 4.5 - 6.
