Down by the Bay Camp is a playful, hands-on experience designed especially for our youngest campers. Through music, movement, and sensory exploration, children will discover the fun and wonder of bay life. Each day is filled with silly songs, interactive storytelling, and creative play inspired by the classic “Down by the Bay.” Campers will sing rhyming songs, act out funny verses, and even make up their own (“Did you ever see a fish blowing a kiss?”), building early language and social skills.Campers will explore bay-themed crafts and activities such as: Ocean and animal art (fish, crabs, turtles, and seabirds), sensory play with water, sand, and textures; and simple nature-inspired projects using safe, hands-on materials.
To support different developmental stages, campers are divided into two small groups:
Younger Group (ages 2.5–3.5): Focus on gentle transitions, sensory play, movement, and simple songs with repetition
Older Group (ages 3.5–5): More structured crafts, expanded rhyming games, imaginative play, and group activities
