ADFS is recruiting Teacher's Assistants (TAs) for our 2026-2027 Dance Season!

WHO: Open to ADFS Dancers Level I+ enrolled in two or more level dance classes with one or more years of dance experience (ballet strongly encouraged).
WHAT: As a Teacher's Assistant your dancer will serve as a role model to younger aspiring dancers by demonstrating in the dance classroom with our ADFS Instructors. Being an ADFS Teacher's Assistant is a rewarding growth experience for dancer's Level I+, looking to grow personally and inspire others.
WHERE: TAs are assigned to an ADFS dance class based on age and skill level for the season. TAs assist dancers both in the classroom weekly and on-stage at recital. TAs will need ADFS required uniform dance shoes and dance attire.
WHY: Grow your leadership skills- Improve your dancing-Foster friendships-Volunteer in your dance community
HOW: All interested dancers must enroll in this ADFS Teacher's Assistants class in SP and attend the Teacher's Assistant Training Camp TBD

Registration is required for each new season to ensure Dancers and Guardians acknowledge all requirements and enrollment.

Whether your dancer is looking to enhance their skills or try something new, this camp is perfect for them! AcroDance experience is encouraged but not required—we just ask that campers have dance, cheer, or gymnastics experience. Camp runs from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM for ages 6 and up at a cost of $275 for the full week.

Campers should wear dance or athletic attire and bring a labeled water bottle. Jazz dance is a combination of styles and techniques based on dance evolution. All classes will focus on placement, isolations, stretching, floor work, across the floor combinations, and center work. Jazz dance music ranges from classical jazz music of the 20s through modern day popular music heard on radio. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes. Uniform: Black leotard, jazz shorts, tan jazz shoes. Ballet class strongly encouraged.

This fun and energizing class explores the art of tap dancing, where dancers create rhythmic patterns using the sounds of their tap shoes as percussion. Participants will learn both Broadway-style and Rhythm-style tap techniques, with a focus on musicality, coordination, and performance. This 45-minute combo class is for 4 year old dancers and will introduce them to tap, ballet, and tumbling. Class starts with tap, and dancers change shoes in the classroom for ballet and tumbling. Hip-Hop dancing is evolving this very moment! Dancers are encouraged to let loose and have fun. Hip hop combines street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. It is influenced by a wide range of styles that were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. Dancers may wear comfortable and moveable clothing or athletic wear. DRESS CODE: Black Pastry Pop Tart Hip-Hop shoes.

Open to Level III: Middle School (11-14 years old); Level IV: High School (14+ years old or by invitation only); Level II dancers interested in participating may request a Pre-Pointe assessment by emailing info@adfslv.com with the subject line: ATTN: PREPOINTE REQUEST.

Dancers enrolled in Pre-Pointe must also be enrolled in a minimum of two ballet classes per week at ADFS. This class focuses on building the strength, alignment, flexibility, and technical foundation necessary for safe and successful pointe work. Throughout the season, dancers will participate in pointe evaluations and receive constructive feedback to help guide their progress toward earning pointe shoes.

Pointe work places significant physical demands on the body and requires strong ballet technique to be performed safely and correctly. Most dancers require several years of ballet training before they are physically ready for pointe. DRESS CODE: Black leotard, pink convertible tights, and pink canvas ballet shoes.

Pre-Pointe dancers should NOT purchase pointe shoes prior to approval. Once a dancer has successfully completed evaluations and receives approval from the Studio Director, they will transition into Pointe Class.

It is influenced by a wide range of styles that were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. Dancers may wear comfortable and moveable clothing or athletic wear. Dancers must complete years of ballet technique classes before their bodies are ready for the stress pointe dancing can create. Calling all moms, dads, and caretakers! Share special time with your little one as they explore movement, music, and fun in a welcoming environment. This is a parent-assisted class where a guardian is required to actively participate and help facilitate the learning experience. Grown-ups will lead and follow alongside the instructor—participating in basic stretches and floorwork, guiding their dancer through classroom routines, and working collaboratively with the teacher to build trust and confidence. No dance attire needed; ballet shoes encouraged. Please come ready to move & groove with your child!

Mixed Level I is 1st Grade age dancers or 5 year olds that have already completed one year of Kinderdance, to stay with the combo class format as a steppingstone into our Level Dance Classes. Mixed Level I is highly encouraged for 1st Graders new to dance before joining the Levels Program!

The 1.5-hour class is split into 30-minute intervals of tap, ballet, and jazz. Mixed Level I provides the foundation classes of dance in a shorter amount of time to allow dancers of this age to also take additional dance classes at ADFS without missing important dance fundamentals. Mixed Level I is for 1st Grade age dancers or 5 year olds that have already completed one year of Kinderdance. This combo class format is a stepping stone into our Level Dance Classes. Mixed Level I is highly encouraged for 1st Graders new to dance before joining the Levels Program! The 1.5-hour class is split into 30-minute intervals of tap, ballet, and jazz. Mixed Level I provides the foundation classes of dance in a shorter amount of time to allow dancers of this age to also take additional dance classes at ADFS without missing important dance fundamentals. Christian Lyrical Saturday 12:30pm
Christian Lyrical combines the expressive artistry of lyrical dance with uplifting Christian music in a welcoming, open-level environment. Rooted in ballet and jazz technique, dancers will learn to tell meaningful stories through movement while developing grace, musicality, flexibility, and emotional expression. Each class will begin with a weekly Bible memory verse and a brief devotional thought, encouraging dancers to grow in both their faith and their artistry. Choreography and class exercises will be set to contemporary Christian music that inspires hope, joy, and worship.

Ballet and/or jazz class enrollment is encouraged for lyrical dancers. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes.
