Joyful Noisemakers - Preschool Music
Four, Five and Six
“Joyful Noisemakers” is our early program for our youngest joyful music makers – age 4 to 6 years old. We use a comprehensive approach to musical learning that develops singing, movement, and listening skills simultaneously with an introduction to musical styles and concepts. The children will have a positive “hands on” experience using a variety of rhythm instruments and “Boom Whackers” as they create their own music. Our goal is to nurture the children’s love for the gift of music and to equip them with beginning music theory and early music skills to bring with them as they grow into more advanced classes.

In this class students learn the fundamentals of proper choral technique including posture, breathing, pitch accuracy, rhythm, diction, tone quality, dynamic control, etc. They will also practice the foundations of Solfege and Sight-Singing music on the staff. Students will be introduced to a variety of music styles and languages as they explore a range of songs. We desire to create a learning environment that is fun and encouraging for all participants. We want to provide an opportunity for students and parents to develop lasting relationships with others within Joyful Noise

THIS CLASS HAS LIMITED CLASS SIZES
This class is an introduction to the guitar. More experienced students can take it, but it is really geared toward true beginners. The first semester focuses on learning how to play single note melodies using guitar tablature and basic music notation. Second semester will be focused on learning well-known pop and rock songs using chords. By the time the 2nd semester ends, students will have learned 6-8 songs using tablature and chord charts. They will continue to expand their knowledge of music notation 2nd semester as well.
